hi , anyone know of a way I can transfer my mobile contacts in my mobile onto a file on my computer eg into contacts on outlook

this depends on what model of mobile phone it is.
I have done this on lots of different phones.

Are you bluetooth enabled?
If so the phone manufacturer will have something to download free which will synchronise your contacts.

Although I would never do this as you finish up with hundreds of unwanted contacts in your address book on your computer, for people and things you just want a number for, e.g. Taxi firms

Most of the phone manufacturers provide the relevant software.
