. . . just saw the last episode last night; can't believe the second series is over! It's been so fantastic - I think the writing is incredible and there's nothing really like it on tv.

And - does anyone know - surely Fiona hasn't left forever?

Most importantly - what am I going to do now to redeem Tuesdays?!!!

Watch Fred Dibnah!

..and have hours of entertainment watching threads like this get moved to other parts of the forum!

Ooops! Just found the entertainment thread and realised this was the wrong one to post in . . . mea culpa . . .

I know this is going to horrify a lot of people, but although Fred Dibnah may be as entertainingly useless as Frank Gallagher, I don't think he's got the power to redeem my Tuesdays!

It is an excellent and very funny programme. Was fun watching the episode on E4 one week and then again on C4 next followed immediately by the next episode on E4!!

Got 1st series on DVD can't wait for the 2nd to come out!

Gosh, two posts today on TV series, who said I only every watched footie?

I don't watch that kind of thing.

What kind of thing is that? Critically acclaimed and brilliantly funny drama from an award-winning writer? You missed out.

New series next year, lets hope it stays as good.

I missed most of series one and also have it on DVD so i might watch that on Tuesdays instead. All is not lost!

neeeeeeek - absolutely! this kind of series just shows up how blah so much of the rest of telly is -I am so full of admiration for the cast & writers.

mobileB - I'm envious you have E4 as the only shows I rate seem to be on Channel 4 and would love to see them a few weeks earlier!

I have the first series on DVD - guess I'll have to watch that again until next year . . . but Shameless without Fiona?! Can it be as good?

I doubt it.

I don't watch much TV anyway, I've got a low boredom threshold.

I am another one with a low bordom threshold as people keep telling me but if you have never seem any of it I would say give it a try. I missed the first series because I did not think I would like it but it is a stunning program, a breath of fresh air if you like.

Watch No Angels (replaces Shameless at 22:00 next week).

Also quality IMO.

I'd rather watch No Angels!

I seem to be almost alone in thinking shameless was well overrated!

Its finished? I really liked Shameless, it doesn't seem very long since it was the new series, it can't be over already!

At least there's still ER - on tonight, and Desperate Housewives - they're both really good :)

Wats ur favourite episode?

That's a tough one - would need to watch it all again to be sure but the bit of the episode where Debbie has Marty replacing all his swear words with politer phrases had me curled up with laughter.

I hope that Fiona was only leaving to come back - going off with Steve was so wrong!

Grrrr - Tuesday night without Shameless - grrrrr . . .

No Angels - no substitute! OK, I liked the first series but - well, I'm sulking, and it's just not the same if no-one's shouting "bucket of spunk!" every 5 minutes, is it?

Matt - I just googled series 2 dvd and got nothing but speculation . . . surely before christmas? . . .

Best episode for me was when Sheila went cold turkey on the seroxat and lost it in an even bigger way than usual! I was crying with laughter at the Von Trapp Gallagher singers bit . . . Frank in a sailor suit . . . mwahh hah hah hah!!!

Thank god for E.R. . . . . and why, oh WHY didn't I get into Desparate Housewives?! Is it too late?!

Have you had your hard disk upgraded? :wow: I have TiVo, and have Little Britain and all of Shirley Ghostman saved, but do you have all of these?

Yeah, I see how that might read.

Nah, only Shameless, but I might have to dump these to DVD to allow me to get the girls on disk

Ooooh, nurses,... in uniforms

Reminds me of my student Monday nights out at Steamers on the Thames Embankment.
Student Nurse Night...

Well, Shameless wowed them at last night’s Royal Television Society Awards!

THE man behind the Channel 4 drama Shameless stole the show at the Royal Television Society Awards last night, as guests including Leslie Garrett provided the glitz.

Paul Abbott, who devised the drama, walked away with a hat-trick of awards for best drama series, best writer and the judges’ award for outstanding contribution to TV drama over two decades.

At a ceremony in London, the man whose career has included working on hits like Cracker and Clocking Off, and who started his career in Coronation Street 21 years ago, said that the judges’ award had left him "absolutely speechless".
