Robbie Loving 15-03-2008, 12:17 I think 48 will be sufficient. Snook 15-03-2008, 12:43 I'd have to say 49 points, I think there may be a couple of teams on around 47 or 48 points down there. davep 15-03-2008, 18:12 I hope you realise that 12 more points is 4 wins, which is 25% more than your lot have managed all season. I would be starting to get a squeaky bum if we were in a similar position, still you never know, you may escape yet. Heyesey 15-03-2008, 19:16 I hope you realise that 12 more points is 4 wins, which is 25% more than your lot have managed all season. Which lot is that then? mikeG 15-03-2008, 19:42 If the current results trend continues (Leics winning 4-1 at W.Brom eg), I'll hazard a guess at 54, which, at 8 points more than games played is unusual. Normally, a points total of 6 more than the number of games played is sufficient. mikeG 15-03-2008, 19:53 In the 1st week of May I meet up with some mates travelling over from Sheffield to go to Chester races. Quite a few times in the past either Owls or Blades (or both) have had a match that night which determined 'hop or drop'. It adds to the tension and the ale intake of the day and this year either of the teams could face a nail biting last match albeit for different reasons. canadablade 15-03-2008, 21:28 In the 1st week of May I meet up with some mates travelling over from Sheffield to go to Chester races. I think the Blades are very safe with the win today. Way too many bad teams below them who all have to play each other, so points will be dropped. Can they make a run for the play-offs ? Maybe but I wouldn't hold my breath on it, again too many teams to jump over. Blades can still do the owls some favours and vice versa, should be a fun last couple of months with lots of football left to be played....Just wondering what it would have been like for United had Nobsor been sacked a couple of months earlier. Modernsoulman 16-03-2008, 10:16 So in a season where the championship is so close how many points will the teams hoping to stay up need 1 more than the Wendy's get hopefully. |
