St Patrick's Day is here, you see
We'll pick shamrocks, one two three.
We'll count the leaves and look them over,
And maybe find a four leafed clover.
I'll sew green buttons on my vest,
Green for St Patrick is the best.
I'll wear a green hat, very high,
And dance a jig - at least I'll try!

I've heard it's going to be celebrated this friday, because it can't fall in the same week as Easter.

When the time comes to need an excuse to have a party, it's time to think about where things went wrong.

Begorra, theres an Oirish pub in town somewhere.

Seeing as the council put welcome signs up for all religions, all races and a big tent for St Patrick, why don't they celebrate St George's day too?
Some of us are really proud to be English.

Fagins on Broad Lane. A genuine Irish pub,not a theme pub. And there used to be an Irish club at Pitsmoor.

Thanks you all, fair play to ya. I'll have to try and get there for a good pint. And if you all want to celebrate St Georges day, you should do. I always believe that a countries not a country without its own langauage and culture, so you should sort it out. :loopy:

I used to have to do Irish Dancing at school, cos it was a Catholic convent .

Hiya Tess.

Sorry, but you won't be going to the beer tent on Monday because it's only running from Wednesday to Friday. Late change enforced by the council, I believe.
