What is it with them? Why don't players have the nerve?

What's the secret? :suspect:

Was nailed on that Chimbomba was gonna be the 1 to fail em (and yes i know Jenas did too) but its well known Chimbomba doesnt care about Spurs and wanted away during transfer window
Was a bloody awful penalty

Must admit "Golden Goal" is kinder. Then it's down to whole team rather than individuals.

Was following the Spurs penalties. Quite like Tottenham for some reason, hate all other London clubs. It was a bloody terrible penalty!

Spurs are my favourite prem team. Have been since they signed King Dimitar. His penalty was brilliant, as ever.

I'm not sure he cares about anyone else at all, certainly given his attitude problem when playing for Spurs against United last season.

True. The trouble is, teams got even more scared and defended even harder, and extra time got even more boring.

I like the idea that's been suggested often before (but can't claim any credit for it!) ... hold the penalty shoot-out before the game. The team that lost it can't settle for a draw.

Yeh, but the team that won the shoot out CAN settle for a boring draw.

Going adrift a bit, looks like after tonight Rangers might be the only UK team left in UEFA as Bolton are sending a notably weak side, for various reasons, to play Lisbon. Seems they are more worried about Wigan game at weekend than playing in Europe.

I thought Jenas's miss was the worse in a way - very weak with less pressure, the keeper could have walked across and caught it if he'd wanted. I think the PSV keeper has to take some credit too, he backed himself to get there and nearly did on most of the penalties, while Robinson went very early and almost always the wrong way.

I don't like Chimbonda much but at least he had the bottle to take one. It's always interesting to see who hasn't: Malbranque, Woodgate & Lennon didn't fancy it clearly.

Have been since they signed King Dimitar. He is indeed quality. Makes playing the game look so easy.
