According to my calculations (which is probably wrong), the 10000th user was 'witchesbrew'.

If you prod Geoff's 'profile' button, his user ID is 2

and Sidla's is 9 :confused:

I was going to ask the very same question! So come on Geoff who is the 10 000th user?

You're all wrong so far.

The user with the ID 10,000 isn't the 10,000th user. As some previous ones were duplicates and others were removed for never activating their accounts. Also even if we had no duplicates it would be 10,001 as user #1 doesn't exist.

I will work it out at some point. In the meantime e-mail me if you want one of this t-shirts, they are very stylish and they are a 'must have' this season ;)

....... and if you look up "witchesbrew", who Sidla suggests is "the one" their ID is 11663!

Geoff did explain earlier how hundreds of unused registrations have been culled.

I was thinking the same - I'm not sure I'd want to be identified if i were the 10,000th user... and I guess Geoff has a responsibility to check with the individual in question before he names them (which may partly explain the delay).

Unfortunately, it's just not possible to give a precise answer because the membership numbers move in both directions as we carry out the occasional purge.

There was technically a 10,000th registration, but we didn't think that it was fair to call them the 10,000th member at the time.
