I'm under the impression that West One has no residents group in which tenants / property owners can discuss the development and raise issues / concerns.
Does anyone know if there is a residents group?
Is anyone particularly happy with West One?
Is anyone particularly dissatisfied with any aspect of West One?
I don't want this thread to become a vehicle for city living bashing, so if you live at west one any have genuine issues with it, please post. I want to know if anyone shares my concerns about a number of issues including the communal areas and security.
Thanks
I live in West One. Security has been a problem - when one of the outside doors was broken recently, it remained in a state of disrepair for weeks and during that time *anyone* could walk in. One night a fight broke out in the corridor on the ground floor when someone (allegedly) walked in to continue an arguement he was having with one of the residents  That kind of thing makes me nervous - West One isn't cheap and no one wants to pay that level of rent only to have to wait weeks for essential repairs to be carried out. However, to be fair thats the only real complaint I have about the place

^ do you pay the service charge as well or is it included in your rent?

I own a property in west one but don't live there, so yes I have to pay the service charges seperately. They cost circa 900 pounds a year.
I own a property in West One and I'm not happy about some aspects of service.
I think the charges are high and we are not allowed to pay monthly. Also problems are not dealt with quickly enough.
Last year there was a meeting in May with Bill Spray of Mainstay but I wasn't able to get to it. I believe they have to hold a meeting anually.

the charges are astronomical given the shoddy "service" provided by mainstay!

West One Space. They fixed the door the following day, which was interesting given that the excuse for its remaining broken was that they couldn't get hold of the required part
