View Full Version : Childrens TV Presenters.
donuticus 11-03-2008, 01:13 Having met a few very well known childrens TV presenters over the last couple of months.
Why do I feel they are not exactly the kind of people I would feel comfortable leaving children with. Two have been down right odd and the other was a little to far on the wrong side of strange for my liking.
Am I being a bit daft or does children's TV attract a particular type of person ?
i think childrens tv presenters are weird but not in the way you do lol. I dont know what goes through their heads when they apply for a job dancing around in a daft costume ON NATIONAL TV, i definately couldnt do it!

They're probably RADA graduates who started out with aspirations of playing Hamlet or Lady Macbeth. I suppose it pays the mortgage.

Yes, I think so.
It's practically a job requirement that you have to be gay, for starters

The sexuality thing doesn't bother me. One particular presenter that was up here was just plain creepy in a way that made me feel quite awkward.

*cough* No comment *cough*
swordfish1 11-03-2008, 14:36 I know I saw Balamory with my nephew once, and thought "have these people no shame, no pride. Do they look at what they do every day and feel good about themselves?".
That's probably why some of the kiddies presenters are off their heads on coke all the time.

I am chanting: Tell us more! Tell us more! Tell us more!
You can't come here starting threads and not completely dish the dirt. Childrens TV presenters can't work computers anyways.... They're too busy making up songs about the skeletal structure of the human body and sunny days to know about computers.
Spill it! :hihi:
I watched Teletubbies when it first started, purely out of curiosity, and I thought "What the hell am I watching?!", some obviously gay bloke in a purple suit, carrying a handbag and pretending to "eat" plastic toy toast!
At least when I was a 5 year old we had the kind of stuff that's on channels such as Nick Jr nowadays.. Proper Children's entertainment.

No! I'm shocked :o
It's like the actor Christopher Neal though - he used to present the kiddies programme "You and Me" - and appear in the occasional adult "Carry On" film...

And Sophie Aldred used to present School programmes on BBC2, then she went on to play the second fittest assistant Doctor Who's ever had, Ace, back in the Sylvester McCoy era in the late 80s.

That is one of the most ridiculous and bigotted posts I have ever seen on this forum. Where's your proof, lady?

Again, a ridiculous assumption to make. Sheesh, you people...
