Is it possible?
Can it be done?

My salads are so flat and boring - it makes me the laughing stock of friends and family.
Actually I'm exaggerating but does anyone know how to make them the talk of the town?????

Try making your own dressings - you can get quite cool results. Serving with some cous-cous is good, stuff like walnuts and pulses works. Also adding some colour like peppers etc is good visually.

Step 3 - Grill and dice my interesting
Step 4 - Get it to host a factual TV show
Step 5 - Insert into a large donner

I live on salad:

finely chopped shallots in white wine vinegar for half an hour, then take the shallots and drop them all over a big bowl of salad leaves (lollo rosso, little gem etc for variety - I hate iceberg), add loads of grapes and crumble some goats cheese on top - volia

or greek salad:

rocket leaves in with the lettuce, diced tomoato, cucumber, feta cheese, a big dose of pepper and loads of olive oil,

or bean salad

a tin of cannelini beans mixed up with chopped basil, finely chopped red chilli, spring onion, juice of half a lemon, a load of olive oil serve on a bed of lettuce, yum.

salad nicoise

chopped hard boiled egg, tuna fish, tomoatoes, red onion, cold new potatoes on a bed of leetuce with loads of french dressing on top - 1tbsp of dijon mustard, 4 tbsp white wine vinegar 10 tbsp olive oil whisked togethr.

I like any of the above with half a tin of chick peas thrown in for good measure.

thats the best one, especially if you can get tuna steak then you can sear the outside and leave the middle red, totally different taste to the tinned stuff.

We make cous cous salad a lot. Prepare the cous cous and add a mixture of cherry toms, cucumber, onion, sweetcorn, peppers, carrot, celery, etc etc.

We also have a rice salad (although technically I guess it's not really a salad but we call it one!) Plain boiled rice (cold) mixed with tuna and green pesto. Yummy!

Batchelors savory rice when it goes cold passes as a fairly good rice salad, if your lazy, like me.

oooh definitely. I bought a tin of tuna in france and I opened it and a bit of cold seared tuna steak popped out - the quality of stuff we sell on supermarket shelves in this country is scandalous.
