Has anyone ever come across the term 'Dutch Knitting'.

One of the k9knitters volunteers has asked me whether a particular coat was knitted using 'dutch knitting' and I've no idea what she's talking about!! A google search comes up with very little, so suspect it's an old colloquial term for some technique....and we no longer use the term today.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Carrie

You don't think she meant french knitting maybe? with the wooden peg doll tool to make a tube of knitting?
