View Full Version : Can any one help locate ROSE FAMILY

Hi
Wonder if any one can help me trace a family please
they are george and susan rose
dont know a lot about the family except they moved to sheffield from lincolnshire early 1900 I think they are both buried at St Lawrence church yard if any one knows were that is as I dont even though I was born in handsworth sheffield.
I now live in norfolk so depend on computer to fimd old family members any help would be great and this is a real request

Hi Sylvia.
I think you will find the churcyard is next to St. Lawrence's Church,
St. Lawrence Road, Tinsley.(see photo).

Do the names Frank Norwood Rose or Becky Lawrence Rose ring any bells?

The only thing i know is there names and year dates
Susan Rose born 1874
husband george rose no bith year they married in 1903 afraid so far that is all i have

there is a possible link here because susie rose daughter of george and susan was born in rotherham in a1912 does that name ring any bells for you

is it possible that anyone could look up the rose family for me please if they could i think they lived in sheffield around the tinsley area from about 1920

Hi The only Rose I know is Mavis married name was Dryhurst. an old workmate of mine at the GPO she came from Gleadless???? would luv to hear from her.

Hi sylvia

This is what I've found:

George Rose, died September 15 1934, aged 65 years.

Susan Rose, died January 24 1938, aged 64 years.

Stanley Limbert Rose, (son), died June 15 1916, aged 9 years 10 months.
