Well we are out- chelsea are through!

Who do we now think is going to win the CL.
My £10 has gone straight onto Milan.

Your thoughts please.

As much as I hate to say it I think chelsea will. Even though I was supporting Barcelona tonight.

Did you watch us vs Milan.
Milan gave us a right whipping.. we could not do owt right tonight!

Their defence is fantastic and their passing... awesome.

Think I'll have a sneaky each way bet on Lyon - a very, very good side indeed.

Man United were well beaten but Milan aren't all that. Players like Keane, Scholes and Giggs just don't have the pace to frighten top-class defences any more and it showed.

Milan ARE all that.
They probably have the best defence in the world and as they played tonight - we did not have a chance even with 6 top midfielders/attackers on show.

Who do you think are going to beat them then?
Bet I can guess- and I hope you dont say the team that 'narrowly' went through against barcelona tonight!

Did anybody watch the Chelsey-Barcelona game ? What a game... a praise for football...

Agreed.

Only 3 goals conceeded in CL so far, and 5 clean sheets in last 7 Serie A games, (all of which they have won).

United put out their best front 6 and didn't produce.

Did anyone think Howard should have saved Crespo's header? I thought it was well placed, and gave him little chance, but the commentator banged on about him being slow to react.

Arsenal (!) v Chelsea final.

Arsenal to win (cos I don't want Chelski to win the treble).

Vive Le Premiership. Hey, Ronaldinho - kiss me a***

The chelsea winner should have been disallowed for holding their goalkeeper on the line. That spoilt an otherwise good game for me.

I think it was all evened out over the 2 legs. Chelsea shouldn't have had a player sent off in the first leg and the penalty was questionable in the 2nd leg.

Yes, it was a great game. Perhaps now might be a good time to recall Crespo. I wonder if he is eligable to play against Chelsea?

What a pleasure to be able to sit and be entertained from start to finish, by two teams who were just interested in winning by going forward.
Even better was to see Collina handling the match without having the constant whining from players every time he blew the whistle. Read more about the worlds best referee here http://www.collina.8k.com/main2.htm

Crespo is allowed to play against Chelski from what I heard on Your on sky sports last night.

Thats IF chelski get milan next-- which they wont because its all a big rig-- they will probably get Lyon which would not surprise me.

Its about time we had Collina handling big matches in the premiership I reckon. We need someone like him in the premiership and I would be thrilled if we could have some foreign referees come over and teach these crap refs that we have in our country how to ref properly.

My thoughts exactly on this-- nobody has said anything about this yet.. what about the England match against Portugal??

Does anyone remember the goal that never was??

Same thing really- if you are holding or doing anything to a GK and you score- you shouldnt allow the goal.

It was a quality game to watch from a neutral's point of view. I'll be a bit more attached to the Liverpool game tonight though.

Have a word with yourself! It really isn't rigged, otherwise why would Chelsea and Barcelona be paired together so early on? And why would Lyon get away with playing Werder Bremen?

They are very solid, but they just don't have the whiff of 'Champions' about them to me.

As for the front 6 thing, Fergie's tactics of throwing as many forwards on as possible hasn't worked at all this season, so there was never any reason to suspect that it would be any different against Milan.

Man U were never likely to beat Milan. Milan have; far better goalkeeper, stronger and more reliable defence, stronger and more creative midfield. Their strikeforce without Schevchenko wasn't as good as Man U's, but when you play against Tim Howard or Roy Carroll it doesn't need to be, and Man U rarely threatened in the final third anyway.

Well and truly the end of an era for Man U methinks.

ANGELUS

I dont think our era is over- we just need to adjust a little bit and thats means bringing in a new goalkeeper straight away- Im going for Kameni from Espanyol who is one of the best young goalkeepers in the world at the minute.. and also we need some more bottle in midfield.

Keano is frankly now getting on- gattuso should be brought in to replace him if there is any truth about him wanting to come to us, I'd still go for him even if the rumours are false anyway and also its about time we had another world class central midfield player in there.. paul scholes is not I'm affraid world class or even near it.

And we need to learn how to hold onto a fookin ball!!!

--- Milan to win the CL.. they are the best team in the competition for me at the moment, not just because they beat us, but frankly anyone who can steamroller us over 2 legs like they have done deserves to win the cup at the end of the competition.. see previous milan post.

--- Who are chelsea gonna have next? It WONT be another 'BIG' team.. it will be someone smaller and thats a fact.. I'd love for them to get Milan next.. but it wont happen.. or maybe give them Real Madrid... that could be a good match also BUT they wont get them.. it will probably be Lyon or someone like that.
Therefore RIGGED!

--- The 6 attacking players should have been enough for anyone last night.. but they were all ****e on the night.. which is a pain in the arse for me as a MU fan.. they should be performing!
They did come up against a better team on the night and over the 2 legs though!

I fail to see how this proves the draw will be rigged. Chelsea beat the competition favourites, was that draw also rigged? I'd fancy Chelsea to beat Real Madrid, with probably only Inter or AC Milan teams likely to beat them.

It will be interesting to see who Man Utd replace Keane with. I don't think Gerrard would go there, and I'm not sure why Gatusso would either unless he's looking for a new challenge. Serie A has some great midfield generals like Keane, ie Angelo Palombe.

To claim it's rigged is plain stupid.

Chelsea just played Barcelona!

Let's face it, whoever Chelsea, Liverpool etc are drawn against in the next round, it's hardly going to be an easy draw at this stage. Only the elite teams are left now, and Lyon are still a solid side, even if they are the apparent weaker team.
