what are the arrangements- i would certainly like to pay my respect- they should honour him with something from the city of sheffield.

Derek Dooley's funeral will be held next week, his family confirmed today. A service will be held at Sheffield Cathedral (C of E)next Friday at 10.45am.

The funeral of soccer legend Derek Dooley will be held at the historic Sheffield Cathedral.

Full details will be announced shortly but it has been confirmed that the service will be held at the Cathedral in Church Street at 10.45am on Friday 14th March.

It is expected that scores of representatives from the world of football will attend and pay their respects to a man who widely recognised as a gentleman of the game.

The Bishop of Sheffield, the Rt Rev Jack Nicholls is expected to conduct proceedings which will be followed by a private service and cremation at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium.
