It has been brought to my attention  that I have omitted to wish some of our lovely knitting group members a Happy Birthday this month (and possibly more - so sorry about that too). The ones I know about are Knitbird and Doodles - so please accept my appologies and my belated Birthday wishes:D

Also Happy Birthday to anyone I may forget in the future:lol:

Just because my zimmer frame has lost one of its rubber stoppers and makes it difficult for me to get about because of its wonkiness, doesn't mean that I don't have other ways of getting about. Now, I just need to find the charger for my leccy wheelchair and I'll be right with you. Can I charge it up in the shop once I'm there, I don't think the charge runs to Sheffield and back  :D

I get it now, all this talk of advancing years is an attempt to get a granny pass to the front of the line at Peakwool's garage (of wonders) sale. I can see it now, flour in the hair, school glue on the back of the hands and do you mind if I go to the front dearie, my legs aren't what they used to be. Just remember, if it comes to a scrum metal dpns will take out bamboo any day.

PS Happy birthday to anyone that's had one recently.

Thanks! Beans - hell no! I've never knitted Jaywalkers before in my life :)

Had a pretty quiet quarter of a century old birthday. OH made me a skein winder which I have been playing with :)

By the way, I will be first in the queue in the Garage of Wonders cos I have birthday money to spend...muuuwwwaaahahahahahaaaaaa!

I have Christmas money to spend so my money is older than your money and can't be doing standing in queues at its age. You could play the pain and suffering joker though, that is probably your best tactic Gempud

Shall I tell you my cunning plan (don't tell the others, they can't see this because I'm using the special secret typing) - I'm going to bring a couple of really big pizzas. When they come out of the oven and smell irresistible we can nip in while the rest of them are distracted.

:D I have white fivers! Surely that entitles me to be first in line.

Peakwool, do you still deal in pounds shillings and pence? :suspect:
