Please can anyone help. Where should I go in Sheffield to buy smart work clothes (female) without spending a fortune?
I start a new job on monday and the dress code is much smarter than the place i work now (jeans/cords and a t-shirt!).
I think i need a whole new wardrobe!
cheers

TJ Hughes or TKMax.
One's in Orchard Square and the other is in Castle Square. I can never remember which is which.
Good luck with the new job.
thanks max, i'm going into town at lunch

Dorothy Perkins - very smart - very cheap
tried matalan at lunchtime and brantano - bought sensible shoes from brantano for 30quid but not much to catch my eye in matalan. mostly really synthetic shiny material suits so didn't buy anything in there.
off to meadowhall tonight then.
anyone know what time it is open till?
10pm I guess
My beloved goes to a shop called More Posh Than Dosh - its like all decent brands but seconds, she has got some good stuff from there.
Trouble is its on Eccy Rd (Just up from Endcliffe Park)........lots of murders and dodgy people selling TV's in pubs and its a red light area (Only joking.............its a long story)
TKMAX is good for designer stuff at cheap prices.

New Look always has a kind of "Work wear" section with some nice ladies suits and fancy work tops. Cheap too.

Definitley go to Asda for work stuff, its cheap and smart. Shirt and ties are £7 !!! a pack.:o
Primark is great for clothes. I used to know somebody who works there and their ladieswear comes from the same place as the stuff in Topshop and menswear from Burtons factories - at less than half price! I got my dad some modern trendy jeans for £10 in Primark last week, and saw an almost identical pair for £34 in Burtons - ridiculous! Ladies vests are £2 compared with £6 in Topshop and Miss Selfridge, and they do workwear too (ladies trousers and skirts for £6-8 each and jackets for £10-17 each - bargain, and good quality too). Hope that helps :)

More Posh has a branch in Crosspool too.
Other than that agree with Asda, Primark, and Matalan.
