My cat was given 6 months to live 5 months ago and today they have taken a bit turn for the worst and at the moment I don't think they are going to last until I can get to our usual vets on Monday morning.
Is there any emergency provision around in Sheffield on Sundays. I'm sure there used to be somewhere on Halifax Road that did out of hours provision at weekends.
Cheers

So sorry to hear about your cat, its really awful when you know that they are suffering... my heart goes out to you.
Many vets do have a Saturday morning surgery, I do know that Springfields at firth park does,it might be worth going in the morning if you possibly can... a lot of the out of hours vets are now covered by vets now, which are unfortunately extremely expensive, its a shame that cost has to come into these things I know

there are one or two open on a sunday

having been incensed at the incredibly bad treatment we had at vets now, I changed out vets to Peak Vets at Woodseats (the road up the side of carphone warehouse) so we could see them any day of the week, late any night, and go to them out of hours when needed

although they don't cover other vets patients, you can register with them online, or ring up and ask to swap over to them and make an appointment at the same time

ps - sunday appointments are charged at normal consultation rates, avoiding the £100ish fee that you'd encounter at Vets Now

Thanks for the help. I think he will last through until tomorrow and I'll take him to our usual vets.
