View Full Version : Has anyone else seen Boogeyman
Kristian 08-03-2005, 13:02 Has anyone else been to see the film 'Boogeyman'? I went last night, and was very disappointed! It's one of those films where you're left wondering, rather than thinking "aah, so that's why..." by the end.
On the plus side, there were some good scary bits where I really jumped! I'm quite liking scary films lately!

Kristian 08-03-2005, 13:46 I wanted to see 'Hide and Seek', but it started too early so I ended up with Boogeyman. Hide and Seek has had rubbish reviews, but I think the trailers look good. Have you seen that L?

Kristian 08-03-2005, 14:16 Creep is still on at UGC, but I wouldn't recommend it! I put my thoughts about Creep here! (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?postid=302291#post302291)

blimey! r u gonna be famous (or infamous ref BB) then?!
Boogeyman don't think i'll bother.... unless it's really good? Saw and White Noise were brilliant
Kristian 08-03-2005, 15:01 I loved White Noise too! All together now: "It is one thing to contact the dead, and it is another thing to meddle, and you are meddling!"

A.B.Yaffle 08-03-2005, 15:28 We went to see Boogeyman. Story wasn't much good, but it had good jumpy bits in it... thought Mrs Patchy was going to have a heart attack! Saw Hide and Seek last week and that was a very good film... I would recommend it, but make sure you don't walk out before the end! :D
Zobalina 08-03-2005, 15:36 Actually Patchy, or should I say Mr Zobalina, I recall that you jumped far more than I did at that little bird.
You big wuss.
Kristian 08-03-2005, 15:59 Fantastic! A husband and wife argument on SF! Is this a first? :D
Welcome to the forum Zobalina!

I went to see boogeyman mainly due to the evil dead connection.
Started good, good concept, great jumpiness, even when you knew it was going to make you jump it still did! Felt a bit tense. Then it all went silly and had a crap ending! It's like a lot of these films these days, they seem to run out of ideas and money or something and just film an end. It seems a shame, otherwise it would have been a really good film.
sparklesista 14-03-2005, 16:24 I'm thinking of seeing it too - watched 'the grudge' not long ago and they did the same film so I'm guessing it will be just as scary (as in not at all) lol.
Gonna give it a try anyway - what's the worse that could happen :?

I almost fell asleep watching ‘hide and seek’ last Saturday… I should have read the reviews first… I love scary films, Boogeyman is the next one for me to see…
funkyukgal 14-03-2005, 17:21 Watched it last night! Made me jump a few times! The end was abit hmmmm but it was okay...
For those who has watched it:
