Do a search for Richard Hawley on this site as Frank White is his uncle. Richard has got his own chat site and I am sure he will be able to help.

Just found the link....

DID YOU MANAGE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH FRANK WHITE? IF NOT HERE IS HIS TELEPHONE NUMBER

[number deleted]

Jody - I'm sure you mean well but Frank might not appreciate you publishing his phone number on the internet. In fact he may well not be to happy about you giving to anyone who asks for it! Instead tell the person in question to get in touch with you privately and pass the message on to Frank. Then, if you have his permission to give out his contact details respond privately.

Frank will be playing this Friday (30th Jan 2004) at The Pheasant. I have some friends coming from Grantham especially to see him.
He still plays there on the last Friday of each month, but it usually best to ring and confirm as he occasionally gets a better offer.
His set is still exciting and his enthusiasm is undiminished, despite his being at death's door a couple of years ago.
I get goose pimples whenever he does "Lawdy Miss Clawdy".

See you there??

Well, as promised I went to see Frank last Friday. He was in good form, bantering with the audience and open to requests. (He sometimes isn't open to requests!). Highlight for me was "Johnny Be Goode" which I'd not seen him perform before.
The young lad who plays piano is phenomenal, and surely destined for greater recognition. (He recently replaced Frank's son Joel, who played Hammond organ with the band for many years).
I mentioned that "Moonshine" had tried to get hold of him and got the impression that he would follow it up.
Frank next plays the Pheasant on 27 Feb. Maybe see you there? There isn't a better way to spend four quid in Sheffield, and the beer's good.

Hi,
It is true that last year Frank was quite ill. He fell while walking and seriously damaged his leg. According to The Star it came very close to amputation [Frank himself won't really talk about it].
I am happy to report that he is, to all intents and purposes, fully recovered. He still jumps about on stage and there is no visible evidence of his injury. Bushbaby

Frank's fans may like to know that he now runs a jazz band, doing Sinatra type standards. Play sporadically at Ruskins and that pub next to Corporation Street Baths that used to be called Brown Bear.
This is, of course, in parallel to his ongoing rock'n'roll career.

I saw Frank at the Cathedral tram stop last week, arms full of shopping like the rest of us, and had a good chat with him.
He is in good health and looking forward to the upcoming gigs mentioned above, as am I
