It doesnt work on BB because that is digital and a fax is analogue technology.

You can send faxes from you PC... Couple of ways.

1. Install a modem (I'm pretty sure you'll have one already) and make sure you have it plugged into the phone line.

Use the software supplied with WinXP
(see Control Panel > add/remove programs > Windows Components)

...OR...

2. Find one of the many net to fax gateway services out on the net that will deliver your fax from your PC to the fax number of your choice.

Option 1 is by far the simplest and easiest though and the 2nd option is usually only cost effective if you are sending a slew of faxes on a regular business..

A program called rightfax, we use it at work. Well, should, I just use the fax machine!!!
Sure there are other similar programs about.

A third option that hasn't been mentioned is that you might be able to use your mobile phone to send a fax.

Some mobile phones come with a fax and data modem which you can connect to your PC with a data cable (or even bluetooth and/or infared if you have a laptop or suitable card for your desktop).

You can then send and recieve faxes through your mobile.

I'm not sure which mobile phones have this feature but I know the Sony Erricson T610 does.

Yes... you need a normal modem that works on a standard phone line (not an aDSL, cable or other broadband modem).

These usually come with your computer nowadays and if not can be bought for peanuts from all computer stores.

Winfaxpro is a great piece of software.

I use it all the time at work.
