Female acoustic guitarist seeking other females to write and play with. Am trying to write my own material and would love some creative company.

My influences are really wide and I enjoy artists like Suzanne Vega, Dido, Kosheen, Alanis Morisette. I am also interested in experimenting with sounds, like stuff by Massive Attack, Nittin Sawhney etc.

Am open to suggestions. There's not enough of us out there!

I'm a girl who's into electronic sounds and computer/sampling/DJ stuff.
I'd love someone to sing on some of my tracks and to write more 'real song' stuff.
I'm only in Sheffield for a few months, so I can't promise gigging or long term commitment, unless you want to move to London lol.

ps - the kind of beats and sounds i make are somwhere in the realms of Air, Portishead, Bjork, Kraftwerk, Miss Kittin.

I sing and play guitar (the former with more skill than the latter). My influences are mostly folky singer songwriter people - from seventies stuff like Steeleye Span and Joni Mitchell to modern new country/folk - Shawn Colvin, Ani diFranco type people. Would love to play with creative people!

We're lookin for a female vocalist. We only don't qualify for what you're asking for in that we aren't female! We have a fair amount of our own material and we have a jazz/funk style. The songs definitely suit a female voice, our last singer had to leave due to circumstances beyond our control! Shame.
