I realise that this may be a little tired as a subject for forum postings but maybe it shouldnt be. I hope that it never gets off the gorund, for one reason is that the area is already becoming to built up with housing being dropped on every available peice of land or more shopiing outlets.
We really dont need this type of development as we have enough nearby. Whats the point in having a complex such as this around here. Oh I hear you say that it will create jobs, but I am sure that yopu fiind that thses jobs are the dregs of the job ladder, with silly uniforms to wear and a pleasant smile, but with basic wage payments.
The area is trying to be taken back to conservation with the pit house west site now holding a regular endangered bird species on its ponds, and this alone should stop any development.
Keep the London conglomerates out , we dont need their crap around here.
As for someone mentioning development jobs in building the place, then I am sure you find that all the country's builders are tendering for the site when it becomes up for tender, and the local builders wont get a sniff, as the paddy,s will have it sown up. The term paddys is not a discrimative title for the irish, its just what will happen.
Keep the area green and not lit up like a christmas tree all year round. If you want entertainment then go to attercliffe and if you want the outdoor life then go to centre parcs.
