Will one of the non permanent markers (used to write on laminated stuff) wipe off glass?

I know it sounds really dim as I'm sure it would but I don't want to deface the glass if it won't come off!!

It should easily wipe off Lotti, if you have any trouble - just add a little White Spirit or any abrasive cleaner to a rag, and wipe clean. :)

It'll come off..but do a discreet spot test first! :D

As long as it's normal glass - no coating etc. acetone/nail polish remover will have it off in a jiffy.

Nail polish remover / strong alcohol works as well as white spirit, smells less and gives you an excuse to buy a bottle of 70% proof. :)

if you mean dry-wipe markers Lotti - they come off anything with a glazed surface

She wants to get rid of the marker, not eat it! :hihi:

ps: It goes well with a dash of salt! ;)

This even works on permanent marker. If you write over it with a dry wipe marker it will come off. Something to do with the reaction between the two. Good luck

Wire wool will remove almost anything from glass.

Wire wool will remove almost anything from glass.

And also scratch it in the process.

even if you use permanent marker alcohol will get it off cos thats what we do at work when some cheeky so and so steals all the dry wipe ones!!

No it wont scratch it at all.

Depends on what metal the wool is made from: if it's mild steel and the glass is hard, then it might not scratch, but if it's turnings from the Eurofighter factory, then it'll scrape a hole in the hardest glass within a wipe or two! :hihi:

It possibly might do.. what type of glass is it? does it have any special coating like this? (http://www.pilkington.com/applications/products2006/english/bybenefit/thermalinsulation/kglass/default.htm) more then likely, it will end up getting scratched - and who needs wire wool anyway? it's only a non-perma marker! It will easily come straight off with a cloth.
