I'm not really fussed about meeting anyone on the forum as i'd probably be a BIG disappointment to them after that thread on what forum people look like. I know three other forumers and must say there posts do not show in the least what they are actually like. I still think the idea of a forum tee-shirt is a good idea cos then we'd have the fun of spotting one another in the street and not knowing who you were looking at unless of course anyone was brave enough to approach the other.and ask

Sian will normally stare at anyone who walks through the doors after 8pm, so one fail proof method of identifying the forummers is to look for the table where everyone turns to look back at you ;)

About 14 or so of us turned up yesterday... and thats pretty typical of the numbers on the Sunday meet :)

There is more than one person I'd like to meet.

Having met Geoff already (don't ask me anything about him cos if he wanted to tell you, he'd tell you :nono: ) I think the following people would be on my list:

t020 - because having locked heads with him in the past and seen his posting type change over time I think he'd hold a good conversation.

Pussycat - well I know what she looks like already but I'd like to actually meet her in person for a beer and chat. Having spoken with her in the past she seems very intelligent and able to convers with new people easily.

1Man&HisBMW - Just cos I'd like to find out why he's so desperate to become a mod... is the man mad ;)

Quite a few on hear. I always enjoy reading the topics and heaven forbid i actually learn something new occasionally that i didn't know before.

Some peoples views are fairly extreme too and have a completely different view to many. Because of this i'd like to meet them to see how they get there views and their background etc. One that springs to mind of late is Venger who one

I've met lots of Forummers and without exception, they've all been wonderful people to spend an evening with. And other forummers I've met when I've bought things from them, and they've always been fair dealers.

There are a lot I'd still like to meet, but just off the top of my head are miniminch, discocat, mojoworking and foofighter, hazel, t020, owdlad, abdul, vera and some others on the memories thread whose names i can't just think of right now ...

All are top-notch contributors in their own ways.

I've met a lot of the old crowd and I think most of you who haven't set out to meet me may have bumped into me through the old Classic Rock Bar (where the first meets started out) or in Cha Chas.

I'll try to pop down to one of these meets at the Dev Cat soon and try to link up a few more faces.

Who would I like to see at these meets? Toby (but he'd be too shy to come). T020 (but he'd be scared of being beaten up :hihi: :heyhey: ). Belle (who says she's not coming back - which I think is a huge shame, she was an active and fabulous contributor). Oh, and the gingers (from the CRB).

Timo and Foo_Fighter, because they make me howl!

As a bit of a post-script, I'd like to say that over recent weeks, I've met several people at the meets who I really didn't like on-line. All of them have been really nice, so I'm not excluding anyone in future! :clap:

Cols I've had the pleasure of meeting. Lord Chaverley and Timo would make enthralling company. One feels I must turn up in Dinner Jacket to be allowed within 'their circle' though! (And a Collins English Dictionary and Thesaurus would help too.) And I'd like to meet Abdul as he never seems to take anything too seriously (pencil and notebook at the ready).

To be honest, I'd love to meet you all, admit that we've all got different points of view, buy you a drink, get drunk on Old Tom beer, make a fool of myself and fall on the floor, only to be carried out of the pub by some 7'4" bouncer shouting 'But I love you, I love you aaaaalllllllll'.

(But I can imagine the stony look from the wife when I got home and well, let's save it for another day, okay?)

I'm more of a lurker than a poster usually.......so no-one really knows me :)

Wallbuilder and his lab
kirky and owdlad - to see the double act in real time
kristian - although in my head he will always look like a character from desperate housewives

Timo - his social sciene knowlege scares a second year student like me - but interesting reading all the same

Slimsid - because I am intrigued by him. Also want to tell him to stop asking for advice if not wanting to act on it because I am horrible.

Lestat - because I think we have a pencil case sniffing fetish that would keep us entertained if the conversation sagged.
