Just letting you know that the second series of Dead is starting on Sky One on 15th March. This is really one of the best shows ever!!

Unfortunately, it got cancelled after this season :(

So, enjoy it, I thought it was the best season out of the two.

Efforts are being made for it to go to SCFI - it all looks really positive - so roll on season 3 - or at least a TV movie for it to be wrapped up :D

Yeah...season 2 really built on the aspects of season 1. The cancellation news was a disaster.

As mentioned above, steps are in motion for another network to pick it up (Sci Fi conducted a poll online to see what the response would be). MGM are not giving up on the show, and are determined to find it a new home soon. If any show deserves more seasons it is this work of genius.

I couldn't agree with you more. I saw the first season when it was shown, and I was hooked and then when the news came through back in December I was devestated - there was even a support group setup within theforums for anyone having DLM withdrawal ;)
I mean, you know everyone was up in arms when Farscape was canned - it was twice as worse I think and as you can imagine the pandemonium when there was no indication for this to happen..plus there was is a petition started and the last time I checked it there was 23,000+ signatures plus an active letter writing campaign - that was more than Farscape fans too :)

Indeed...I think I was around signature number 2300 on the Save Dead Like Me petition. My sister signed the following day and was around 3900.

I am still awakening others to the marvel of this show, via the Region 1 DVD set (a worthy investment). Everyone who has seen it is stunned as to why they hadn't watched it before, and why it has been cancelled.

Showtime have made a bad decision in cancelling it, and it will be their loss when it (eventually) gets picked up.

I know - I've already got my boxset, :D :D :D I couldn't do without it. I think region two should be out soon although I haven't seen it being advertised by Amazon.

Showtime are the worst, but Greensplatt is worse (Robert Greenblatt, the one who pulled the plug) - everyone that was incensed anout it being cancelled, cancelled their subscription straight away, so anytime there are any shows that has any thing to do with him like "Huff" and "Fat actreses" then I stay away from it like the plague - well apart from the fact that they are really rubbish and not a patch on DLM.

It was a good episode last night. Great character development.

WHY OH WHY was it axed?

Sigh!
