I've just seen a gorgeous pair of ivory satin boots which I want - but my dress is red! I know some places offer a dying service but the problem is they either won't do it unless you buy the shoes from there, or they have to be a designer brand (apparently dying them wont work unless they have a fancy name attached...:loopy: lol)
Is it possible to do it yourself? Or does anyone know where I can buy red satin low heeled boots? :hihi:

I wouldn't do it myself in case it went wrong!!! Imagine forking out loads of dosh on a lovely pair of boots only to ruin them. I'd shop around for a pair that's the right colour. Have you Googled 'red satin boots'?

I know, thats whats scaring me! I've dyed clothes before - but not satin, or boots lol! I have googled them, and either get scary, punky looking things that resemble stilts...or they cost hundreds.... :(
have you tried ebay?
i found these dunno if its what you are looking for but its worth a look

I've actually got those in my watch list, they are lovely but I think they look a bit too light, my dress is a darker red. I'm also a bit worried about quality, have heard bad things about chinese items on there!
Thanks anyway!

My sis bought some white satin shoes on ebay, but needed cream, she dyed them herself and they were fab, no one could tell. But yes, there are a couple of places online that offer shoe dying, I think one of the bridal websites I happened upon does, although a quick search should bring it up.
