I'm not sure "favourite" would be the right title but I've recently been watching old videos of Drederick Tatum...sorry Mike tyson during his pomp. He was so exciting. I remember staying up to watch his unification fight against (I think) Michael Spinks and it lasting all of about 30 seconds. The man was a colossus. He was Clubber Laing.

A dumb, inarticulate, criminal and damaged human being, not someone you'd ask to take you home, but a hell of a fighter.

Thinks he is the way he tore into Warnock at the end of last season , which I think led him to resign. Should stick to fighting the French IMO.

I think this is what makes SF so bad, posters are too picky, everyone thinks they are a comedian.

anyone seen the cycling on bbc2 this week, absolutely fantastic,
that Chris Hoy and bradley wiggins and the ladies team have won 9 gold medals up to now between them. I have never watched it before but I'm certainly a fan now.
only so by chance as I was flitting from channel to channel.

The Undertaker.

Meh, I know people complain about wrestling being "fake", but he's wrestled for 20 years in WWE, the only reason he's not wrestling at the moment is due to injury, that and he's scheduled to retire after he goes 20-0 at Wrestlemania next year.

You already know the outcome. That means it isn't a sport, but a pre fabricated exhibition of athleticism. It's been fake for over 20 years.

Lance Armstrong... I grew up loving Mike Tyson but, no matter what Iron Mike went through, it wasn't a patch on what Lance went through. Unlike most sports personalities, he went through his hardest times right at the start of his career. He almost died before fighting back to become the greatest cyclist the world has ever seen (although Miguel Induraine and Marco Pantani were also greats imo).

Rich you have just given an actor as an answer to a question regarding the best sportsman ever. Why didn't you say annakin Skywalker for his space ship racing? Get your own house in order before pointing out the stupidity of others.

I would say mine would garrincha. How someone who was a disabled alcoholic became the greatest footballer in the world inspires me. Lance Armstrong also takes some beating.
