Does anyone know anything about the history of the King Edward VII hospital in Rivelin, often known as King Teds? I know it was an orthopedic hospital and a hospital for officers but would like to know more. Does anyone know about its rumoured hauntings for example?

How much of this place has been incorporated into the new developments there? I know the housing at the front has all gone but has the main blocks been converted or all demolished?

Where did you get that lovely sheepskin from then, Golden Fleece? In answer to your question, most of it has been absorbed by the development. The main block is 2 bed flats, with some of the original features like the wrought iron staircases and the plaques and colonnades in the entrance hall kept. The 'wings' down the side have been turned into townhouses. The hydro therapy pool has gone as have the pre-fabs but the lodge at the entrance, the the little building in the middle of the lawns and the round one at the end are also houses now. Did you know it as a hospital?
