Weather warning issued today in Sheffield for heavy rain. City centre has just got considerably darker, so I'm guessing it will start soon. Anyway, just a friendly warning from your friendly host ;)

It's just started raining here in R'ham and the sky's darkening rapidly just in time for lunch (not that I intend eating sky you understand).

Oh, g*d, we're discussing the weather. What are you doing to me Geoff?

Rain'll water my garden, but what I really want is a MASSIVE storm. Thunder, lightning, the works. There's nothing like it for electrifying the soul.

Let me make this quite clear:

It is not raining in Ecclesall, it's raining in Ecclesall ROAD.

It's grim up north!

Got soaked cycling in to work today, had three cars try to kill me and two pedestrians walk out on me!

Not looking forward to the ride home tonight. Anyone travelling along the A621 going out of town tonight is advised to give all cyclists a wide berth - it could be me and I'm in a bad mood!!!

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head...

Thunder, all through the night...

It's rainin' men, hallelujah...

I'm singin' in the rain, just singin' in the rain...

I was subconsciously brainwashed in to starting this thread by a song on the radio... my apologies. :)

The horrible noise issuing from my mouth is currently being drowned out by the rain. So that's all right.
I've been trying to think up more, but sadly all I can think of is..

Itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout, down came the rain and washed the spider out...

Hmm a bit lame.

Hmmm... should have heeded geoff's warning! Went to get a hair cut, and came out to find it was chucking it down!! D'oh!!

it's raining, it's pouring, the old man is... working?!
I'm only happy when it rains
Why does it always rain on me?

Why couldn't I think of those?
Must be the rain washing all my thoughts away...

Only one thing to say to you rain-nuts out there - dry up!

'Weather' you take this advice is, of course, up to you.

Could someone plesase enlighten me?:? :?

You asked for it. Go here for enlightment, if you've an hour to spare:

The Grate Ecclesall Road Debate (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1244)

You'll understand the misspelling eventually.

And the great Bob Dylan's 'Rainy Day Women#12&35

Well, they'll stone ya when you're trying to be so good,
They'll stone ya just a-like they said they would.
They'll stone ya when you're tryin' to go home.
Then they'll stone ya when you're there all alone.
But I would not feel so all alone,
Everybody must get stoned...

Already mentioned PP by CW and DB - don't, however, think that Prince's ‘Purple Rain’ has been.
