Well we got home about an hour ago after a long walk in Endcliffe Park. I really hope I'm not tempting fate here, but Evie and Spangle (our cat) have met and so far so good. I couldn't have wished for it to go any better, am sooooooo relieved.

I came home on my own first, gave Spangle a big love and let her have a good sniff of my hands as they had Evie scent on them. Then my OH came home with Evie, I told him to just walk in with her but not make a big deal out of it. Evie spotted Spangle but made no attempt to chase her, infact did not show much interest at all. So much so that we felt confident to let her off her lead. Spangle has had a couple of large bushy tail moments, but all in all is quite curious of her. Evie is knackered and currently crashed out in her bed, so Spangle is also very relaxed.

Am so pleased as I was worried Spangle might hate us forever.

I can't quite believe it, but these pics were taken last night while we were all sat watching TV.

Could they be friends?

Poor little Evie, you wore her out :hihi:
She does seem to be making herself well at home doesn't she? theres nothing like your own fireside and a couple of nice friendly humans for company.
Spangle doesn't seem to be too bothered about her does he? early days but it looks as if they will learn to at least tolerate each other well.
Keep the updates and pics coming, some happy news in amongst all the rehoming threads is nice

Yes Spangle has been a really grown up girl about the whole situation. She's getting better too, she keeps having little bets with herself to get a bit closer and a bit closer, it's all to do with Evie being so cool with her I think. She just doesn't bother with Spangle at all. I can't tell you how relieved I am.

Wahay! Spangle does seem to be handling things really well if she's prepared to close her eyes in the same room as Evie. It took months to get my lot round to the same point (but that could be something to do with introducing a great galumping German Shepherd who wants to play with the cats) and one still doesn't like being in the same room as her.

The one thing that you have to look forward to is when they have to work out between the two of them is the top of the pecking order. Molly lost the contest in my house after Arthur stood her down and repeatedly left claws in her nose. He is now head honcho supreme and peace is again restored.

aww matching pets! Glad to hear initial intros are going well. Our baby Wegie Arnie has decided he isnt going to be hassled by a slobbering daft dobermutt - so he makes a point of sleeping next to her now, figuring she's safer when he can see what she's up to.

I think thats Spangle approach too, she's never taken her eyes off Evie!! I'm sure she's having some well earned shut eye today while Evie is out of the way.

Yes they do match well don't they, we have grey rabbits too! Totally by accident that they match!!
