Tell that to the policemen and women that are stood around the penistone road area near wicks directing traffic, Hope the police man that has just totaled his company car in to a fence and another moterist is ok, that was one really bad cop car crash.

Raychul69 01-03-2008, 00:04 My cats are crying at the patio doors to go out :loopy:
They'll get blown from here to Doncaster if I give in.
I heard about that accident earlier Akita. It did sound pretty bad. It caused all sorts of problems at work. Hope everyone is ok.
I wandered along the Bolehills earlier, and I don't think I've ever known weather so strong. :o
You could lean against the wind, and it would hold you up!

I did think about putting strings on the little dogs when we were up on the Bolehills earlier- just in case I needed to catch them when they blew away.

First time I appreciated those new flats and the metal fencing was tonight medusa.
After walking up from the Jet station into the gap between new flats and terraced houses above, it was like a wind tunnel :o , I was holding onto my carrier bag (containing tomorrows breakfast:hihi:) for dear life with my left hand, whilst holding onto the metal posts with right. :o:hihi:

Well, it goes against my cultural background to buy alcohol for somebody else (I were born in Barnsley) but I might just make an exception in your case, since it does seem to feature somewhat largely in your life :hihi:

Pauline BHG 01-03-2008, 09:58 Yous are mad ! My house was shaking, im high up Chesterfield Road and top floor of an old 3 storey house. I thought the quake was returning wwaaaaarrrrghhh !
I find it amazing to look out of my window this morning and everything looks normal. The gales were so bad i thought there would be a bit of destruction.
Don_Kiddick 01-03-2008, 10:09 Them gales made me late for work today!
I went round the car park 3 times! kept missing the door....

The "sold" sign on our driveway got ripped off the fence / out of the ground also, saves me tekin it down or ringing up the estate agents to come and collect their gear. Can come in handy too, as I'm contemplating on going to the next tree huggers meeting. :P
I nearly got Blown away :hihi: walking back from the Pub at 4 this Morning couldn't believe the strength of the wind i heard it was going to be windy but i wasn't expecting anything like that.
