Hi, I'm looking at going to Brazil for 4 weeks on a volunteer program. I have found that you don't need a visa unless you are staying longer than 3 months but It says if your only purpose is tourism. Does being a volunteer count as this, or would it be classed as work? Thanks

What does your volunteer organisation say?
The Consular website is not totally clear but it says "no work on a tourist visa" and elsewhere refers to "work - paid or unpaid" and a Volunteer Visa does exist.
Certain UK/Brazil volunteer programs do include visa applications.
