A remarkable performance by Everton Ladies earned them a 1-0 victory over Arsenal Ladies in the League Cup Final at Orient.
It was Arsenal Ladies' first defeat for two years and Everton started the game a 13-1 chance to lift the trophy.
Whatever some may say about the female game, their are some very talented players in these two teams. Everton scored an early through Amy Kane and some resolute defensive play ensured the cup went to Merseyside, much to the consternation of the Arsenal team - marginally more graceful in defeat than their seniors!
