anyone got any idea where I can get my car polished . Not one of these mobile valeters that just use mirror shine , I want it polishing properly so any surface scratches are removed , need it doing asap but just don't have the time or equipment (mop) to do it myself.

A decent mobile valetter will do a good job.
I used one based in Eckington who spent about 3 hrs on the outside of my car using some sort of clay based product. He did an extremely good job.

There's a guy - Kane's valet - round the back of Greens Gym on Summerfield St, by Waitrose. Think it's either £40 or £50 for a full wash, valet, wax and polish. Use their minivalets at £15, and they're quite good.

Fraid not, but I found them by looking in the yellow pages and putting in the eckington postcode, this was when I worked in Eckington.

They had a website (just one guy when I say they). Oldish, retired from his main job, but he did a good job like I said. I actually had a mini valet (£25) and negotiated £10 to polish and wax the outside and use this clay stuff which he reckoned to be very expensive.

The clay you refer to isnt that expensive, you can get it from Halfords.

It is a quality product though and does take quite a while to use hence why it might be an expensive bill, just for the time it takes to do.

The clay removes all surface contaminents (sp) and strips the paint back to an unprotected, but ultra clean state.

The paint work will then need sealing again afterward with a good quality car wax to protect the paint, and also maintain the finish acheived with the clay bar.
