OK...it is Friday night...and I feel like exploding so herewith my take on the week...
Can the whole world just stop going on about Charles and Camilla and let them bloody well get married??? So what if there is a law over 150 years old - so what if it is illegal? Haven't we got more things to worry about? If our government wants to spend time deliberating and getting a little act passed through to let them marry - where are our priorities? Our Royal Family - continue with your charity work and bringing in tourists.
Why doesn't the government instead sort out why we have long hospital waiting lists? Or why a lady was turned away 7 times from having an operation that she needs... Why don't they sort out the underperforming schools? Why are we, as a country in such a rut that old Tony Blair is still our PM??? Goodness me, I sometimes think we need a revolution and I need to be Prime Minister!!! I would soon get rid of our 30 zillion government departments deciding on what colour ties they should wear for their evening meals and setting our hardworking teachers endless meaningless targets.
And while I am on schools - let's stop setting our children examinations at such early ages and let them grow up!
Why are we so worried about a little bit of dye in our food which hasn't been scientifically proven on humans to cause any harm (only on mice) - yet we fill our shelves with tobacco and alchohol...
Why is our criminal justice system as such that the police are too bothered about 34 mile speed limits in 30 mile an hour zones and not solving the real issues? Like the dissappearing persons, the children living on the streets or the child abuse?
Why is Sheffield City Centre in such a mess..when will we ever stop the roadworks and the diversions and the new routes?
Why do we still allow people on the road who drive like idiots - not just those going at 100miles an hour when they shouldn't be...but those drivers who insist on going at 20mph...Don't you know I have to get somewhere - don't look at me stupid when all I want to do is go 30mph...it is you who needs to sort yourself out!
And those Companies that keep calling me to leave me an automated message telling me I have won (in american accent) "three nights on a carribean cruise plus three nights in barbados if you call this $100 dollar a minute number)...GET LOST...Stop calling me...I only put the phone down and let you ramble on in the hope that the phone call will be costing you loads of money!
So what if Posh and Becks have called their son Cruz? Each to their own, we all look for something a little unusual...
Why are there horrible people about lying and deceiving? And while I am here - thanks to all the nice people out there! The person who opened the door for me and my daughter today and for our local health visitor who does an excellent baby massage class!
Anyway...I think I have gone on enough...I just need to have a little explosion sometimes to get it all off my chest!
Have a good weekend all...it is my first Mother's day on Sunday so who knows what my baby might have come up with!!!
