I just wanted to give a big-up to my good mate Lewin who's recently opened up a great sandwich shop and takeaway on Chesterfield road.

It's called Lewins Lite Bites and it's in the same unit that used to house Meersbrook Sandwich Shop on Chesterfield Road.

Location: Here on Multi Map (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&db=pc&cidr_client=none&lang=&pc=S80RN&advanced=&client=public&addr2=&quicksearch=S8+0RN&addr3=&addr1=).

It's not just your average sandwich shop though, it's a Caribbean Specialists as well as your usual butties.

The place has had a total refit so you can go down for a full english breakfast and sit in the window, read the paper etc.

The smell in the shop is fantastic (not good for dieters to smell that place ;) ). The food is reasonably - in fact bordering on cheaply priced and it tastes amazing (never knew he could cook actually).

Some of the stuff on the menu includes:

Dumplings £1.00
Dumplings, Beans + Cheese £1.70
Fried Chicken £1.70
Goat Curry + Rice £3.50
Chicken, Rice + Peas £3.50
Mutan, Rice + Peas £3.50
Ackee Salt Fish, Rice + peas £3.50

These as well as your usual Bacon, Egg + Sausage sandwiches etc.

Honestly don't take my word for it, give it a try - it's amazing food.

Sounds lovely, but I'm quite surprised there's no tripe (with lots of salt, vinegar and pepper!) :hihi:
