Writing with a fountain pen cured me of that :hihi:

My son had and still does have the pen chewing habbit, he's married and away from home but we still find old pens around the house with his DNA on.

no - filthy habit.

i am a bit of a kleptomaniac (sp?) when it comes to pens. I usually come away from someones desk/office/shop and then realise I still have their pen in my hand.

Kleptos don't bite pens - 'cos they don't know where they've been !!

I often found that I chewed pens so much that the bit that the nib is attached to kept falling out due to excessive chewing of the end.

Now I have a big box of HB pencils to use at work and I can write all day with them and have a wee nibble whilst not impairing my output.

The slightly worrying thing though is that I had a tooth out a while back (upper left 5) and I keep wedging the pencil in the gap. I feel sorry for the lady who sits across the room from me.

No biro is safe from me - any biro is fair game for a good chew! Same with rulers. Half the time I don't even realise I'm doing it - just notice the tooth marks after a while!

Fountain pens or pencils just haven't got the same chewability factor!

When I was a kid I had a leather bookmark. I used to nibble the tassles when I was reading.
It had a very odd smell / taste when wet.

Happy mems

Lets put it this way, I used to but now I never chew pens, if you want to get out of the habitat of chewing pens spend a few weeks in a school.

Once you see the kids do the things they do with them: chewing scratching/ sticking in ears/nose /belly button (theese are just a few examples) plus all the other dirty things that they do which they should'nt, you will be cured!

Took some spotting that Don

Reason i dont chew pens is :
One end i use as a pen, the other is a thermometer for checking the dogs temperature. :gag:
