Hi

Just to let you know there are some fab bargains on Play.com (http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/3-/104023/2-/Promo.html?dpr=104023) at the moment - for example 2GB Extreme III CF cards only £13.49 including postage (http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/880499/SanDisk-Extreme-III-CompactFlash-2GB/Product.html?dpr=104023) :)

Just ordered myself a couple more :)

Ultra II cards are of course even cheaper - £11.49 - I remember paying £50 for them not much more than a year or so ago

I paid £250+ for Lexar 4G cards a few years back. Now £18 for Sandisk. :|
8G is my standard size now.

Had lots of problems with Lexars BTW.

Excuse my ignorance - whats the difference between the card Extreme III in the OP, and this card?

Same here - had two cards die on me - both Lexars. I use Sandisk now and never anything bigger than 2GB just in case!

Thats a standard speed SD card, the OP showed a fast (133x) CompactFlash card.

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/880300/SanDisk-2GB-SD-Memory-Card/Product.html?dpr=104023You've just linked to a SD card, the original post was to a Conpact Flash card. Different form factors. SDs are a lot smaller physically, so you tend to get them in compact cameras. CF have the larger capacities, so you get them in DSLRs.
