View Full Version : Where is sheffield interchange? nightrider 04-03-2005, 11:31 Where and what is Sheffield Interchange? Thanks, N Greybeard 04-03-2005, 11:35 Isn't it the bus station in Pond St ? Don't think many First Bus routes actually include it ! Strix 04-03-2005, 11:42 It was the bus station (and train station, hence 'interchange') but what function the depleted collection of bustops serve now is beyond me. JoeP 04-03-2005, 11:54 It's the bus station at Pond Street as was. It also houses the National Express coach station for Sheffield, one of the PTE's Travel Information Centres, National Express's booking office and part of the PTE's adminsitrative staff. Joe matthewluck 05-03-2005, 04:13 Isn't it used for most buses out of Sheffield? JoeP 05-03-2005, 07:32 That's about right. The long distances coaches from National Express run from there, though there are a tiny number that pick up and drop off outside the Interchange. Also, services like the X32 (I THINK it still runs, though not sure) and other Mainline, YTC, etc. services that go out of the city also run from there. I am getting worried about my knowledge of buses since I started doing work for SYPTE.... :) craigmason 08-03-2005, 15:06 thought they were building one on arundel gate ? arundel gate interchange (http://www.sypte.co.uk/more/news/news2.html) Strix 08-03-2005, 15:13 Originally posted by craigmason thought they were building one on arundel gate ? arundel gate interchange (http://www.sypte.co.uk/more/news/news2.html) Shame there's no pics on there craigmason 08-03-2005, 15:17 must be some somewere RPG 08-03-2005, 15:17 Originally posted by craigmason thought they were building one on arundel gate ? arundel gate interchange (http://www.sypte.co.uk/more/news/news2.html) From link: BETTER BUS SERVICES ON TRACK Surely thats a tram? |
