Does anyone use Megazorb and if so is there a stockist in Sheffield or on outskirts?

Presuming it is the same type (which I think it is) Horse and Rider in Crookes stock it.

Im still using the huge sack I bought from pet supermarket last May (for my gerbils)

Can someone just confirm for me that there is only one Megazorb as I knew it as a horse bedding but not as a small animal bedding- although I can see no reason why it can't be I just wondered as they only seem to sell the big bags.

Hi Jess, As far as I can tell there is only one Megazorb, it is actually a horse bedding but it has been recommended to me by some members of the Guinea Pig Forum as excellent bedding for them also, apparently it is a lot more absorbent and less dusty than wood shavings.It's worth a go anyway.

It is the stuff for horses but I've used it successfully with guinea pigs for 2 years. A bag usually does about 3 changes of my cage (which is a 2 grid x 4 grid Cubes and Coroplast cage - 10.5 square feet).

Thanks very much for that, I am trying out Carefresh at minute but its working out really expensive, I was recommended Megazorb by someone and thought I would give it a go. Do you just put it down on its own or on top of newspaper?

I just use it on its own - pretty absorbant stuff. Price for it at Totley is very reasonable- will have to make a note of it when I need some more

I guess you could also use this with rabbits instead of wood shavings then? I've never heard of it.....

I use it on top of newspaper because I find it makes cleaning out a bit easier - can roll up the newspaper and most of the Megazorb gets picked up.

Should be fine- it isnt dusty and if its safe for GPs and gerbils, it should be Ok for bunnies too. Huge sack of the stuff is much cheaper than sawdust and cleaner too

They were ordering me some but decided it was too far away and ordered it from Stablemate instead.

Been using this now for about 2 weeks, I can highly recommend it, its so much better than wood shavings and I got a huge sack for £5.60, so working out pretty cheap as well.
