PA autos are supposed to be good however the scirroco is quite an old car now.

I'd definitely recommend PA - Tony and Peter there will always go the extra mile. They use genuine VAG parts, but are still much more competitive than Volkswagen Official service. They are VAG trained and extremely experienced, and obliging.

I remember reading through a thread on these forums with literally hundreds of recommendations for Volks-Tek in Dronfield. http://www.volks-tek.com/

The comments almost made you wish you owned a VW!

Another mechanic told me that they don`t need replacing. Being a bit thick with cars, is this true?

Hello, I can absolutely recommend Arnie's Bug Shop in Rotherham (Eastwood Trading Estate, Rotherham Tel: 01709 835887 ), I know it seems a bit far if you're in town, but he's GREAT! Really knowledgeable and a nice guy to boot, I wouldn't take my Beetle (when I still had it!) anywhere else.

If you haven't already checked out volkstek in Dronfield, definately would recommend them.

I also have a scirocco, had the oierburg card replaced 5years back for a weber carb. Really can feel the difference.

Hope you get it sorted.

Anyone know a good place to get vw spares of the internet?

I'm trying to get the petrol filler neck replaced as it has corroded.
