Red House, Penelopes, Grapes, Cremorne, George IV all do gigs.

As do West St Live and the Dove & Rainbow - both are free to play too. No idea about suitability for under-18s though...

We can let bands play under 18 but they MUST bring fans with them OVER 18 who will buy drinks at the bar, otherwise there is simply no point in having them on.........message me thro msspace if u like with more details

Yes we FREE to play......

What is your band called? Do you have a myspace? Boardwalk is very good for under 18 gigs.

we've messaged the boardwalk and theyve been really good,
unfortunately our drummer is on holiday at the only time theyve had available,
thanks though.

Howdy

Try Moon Fiesta Promotions...

They do regular gig nights at The Grapes, just about every monday and some weekends, they're always looking for bands and they pay based on door takings...

Tell 'em Conspirator sent you!

:hihi:

Hope that helps. Let me know how you get on

Same story goes for the Moorfoot Tavern. If you can bring a crowd who are over 18, then I can consider you for a gig. You'll also need supervising adults - it's all to do with child protection in an adult environment. Message me through Myspace too if you have an over 18 audience.

my mates played the grapes, leadmill, casbah, corporation, boardwalk (quite often) the cricketers arms and others when they were in an under 18s band. Then their voices broke and it all went t*ts up.... :hihi:

Leans more towards indie/light rock things, and puts on free gigs at West St Live...

Its harder and harder to find decent promoters these days who will actually 'Promote' gigs instead of just putting them on!!
