I didn't think I would like this film at all, even though it was recommended to me. During rhe first half hour or so, I was thinking oh my god, what a bloody awful film. By the end I was loving it. It is a very intelligent, well-observed and well acted film. Well worth seeing.

Yeah. Was almost put off going to see it as the reviews I looked at made it sound like just another road movie...which it was I guess, but it was so beautifully developed....

The early part of the film seems slow and you start thinking 'hmmm 2 blokes off to do a bit of wine tasting.....', but then it just builds into a thoroughly entertaining yarn No cheap laughs, just cleverly written and performed. Thomas Haden Church was outstanding as the soon to be married Jack.

I can't remember the last time I went to the cinema and sat with an audience which laughed so hard and for so long. It was an absolute treat and I can't recommend it highly enough. :clap:

Have you seen American Splendour which also starred Paul Giamatti? Also an excellent film, but very different.

I thought this film was amazing (made all the better by the fact I'm a wine fanatic), especially the descriptions of Pinot Noir grapes! I will definitely be buying it went it is released on DVD.
