I am coming up to Sheffield on Saturday to see the match - I usually catch the train, but I am driving this time, where to park?

Park and ride with the tram at Middlewood, Malin Bridge or Meadowhall. Traffic is chaos.

Mrs H Solo
25-02-2008, 12:32
How long does that take to get into town approximately?

Robbie Loving
25-02-2008, 12:36
There is street parking all around the Lane. Don't waste money on park and ride, because the transport you get after that takes you nowhere near.

Mrs H Solo

presumably its a case of getting there early enough to find a space then?

Yeah, if you're there for 1.30pm you will find a space easy enough. I wouldn't leave it any later than that though.

When my dad used to take me in his car he used to park on Edmund Road outside what used to be Clarke & Partners not sure what its called now tho.
You will have to get there early.
Hope you enjoy the match and don't go home too disappointed :D
ps its Bramall Lane and not Bramhall Lane ;)

they dont have many fans so it'll be quite empty, especially next season cos people wont be buying tickets on the proviso they'll be in the prem

Even if that is the case, this is a thread relating to this Saturday.

If we don't have many fans, I wonder what you think about the Owls attendances for the season......

Sheffield United
Played 16
Total number of fans 402375
Highest Crowd 28894
Average 25148
Capacity 32609
Percentage filled 77.1%

Sheffield Wednesday
Played 16
Total number of fans 335393
Highest crowd 30486
Average 20962
Capacity 39814
Percentage filled 52.6%

Facts state the truth. You state a load of crap.....

What's this obsession people seem to have with the number of fans? As far as I can see on the statistics people continually post, neither club have bad attendances for Championship teams.

Not that it should bother anyone in the slightest.

Nobody would have brought it up had an Owl not done.

I do have many a point/rant about fans, but that's another thread entirely ;)

before you park up think about direction you want to go after the match.
its pretty slow moving anyway so trying to turn round will be a nightmare!
i always spin the car round onto the other side of the road to face home..

The pitch?

Why not park it in the penalty area that the away team will be defending then move it to the one at the other end of the pitch at half time. Will be quite safe as there it is very likely not much will happening there.

If anyone came by balloon - they would not need fuel to for take off after the game. Especially when Sheffield United are full of hot air.

I'll have you know, Brentford get a good, loyal following.

They haven't gone through the best of times, but they've got the best fanbase of any of the London clubs.

well it must be 20 years since i last went to brentford so they must have improved cos they were a joke back then. that said i admire any loyal fans especially as they have several big clubs on there doorsteps. a bit like the 17,000 loyal pig fans who keep turning up to watch that when they have us on their doorstep.

Expect the pigs to receive a similar thrashing to what their academy kids got the other week.

And so you should have a good youth team, with the number of refugess and their extended families that have settled in the local area (legally and otherwise), to select from.

Neither do one-off results. It is positions in the table. Who is highest? The table doesn't lie.

Actually it does count for something- the 3 points we have already taken from you!

It certainly doesn't lie but i if we beat you twice in one season i think thats pretty comprehensive proof that were a better side than you ;)

CheekyBandit

All that proves is that you might have taken three points. However what really counts even more is when we go up and therefore be in the Premiership - achieved by getting more points than the pigs. However, the pigs should go back to whinging and bleating as they did before this season started.

Yeah but they can;t help it with all this take-over talk and there only a couple of points away from relegation?

Although you do realise if we beat you on saturday- were only 8 points away from you? not really much is it ;) you have only picked up 5 points in your last 5 games- if we win on saturday that could be classed as a wobble ;)

But what exactly were your team doing before the start of the season? Whinging, bleating and accusing West Ham of cheating.
