WHAT do you buy for the bloke who has everything?
You can bet your bottom dollar he'll already have the sports car and the 42-inch plasma TV - and if he's mega rich he may even own his football club.
But there's one thing he probably hasn't got...
And that's his own fishing pond, being offered for sale right here in Sheffield.
The pond, at the back of a working men's club in Church Street, Ecclesfield, is due to go under the hammer with city centre auctioneers Mark Jenkinson & Son next month.
And the Norfolk-Row based firm says interest has been phenomenal - with many a would-be owner tempted by the bait of becoming owner of their very own pond.
Auction co-ordinator Adrian Little said so many would-be owners were biting that the guide price has almost doubled from between £40,000 to £50,000 to a staggering £75,000.
For that a buyer will get the tranquil 2.59 acre pond, standing on a five acre plot of land, which is currently owned by Ecclesfield Working Men's Club.
And, of course, whoever buys it will also get the fish.
Adrian said: "Interest is high, not only locally but nationally. We were recently contacted by a couple from London who very keen on the pond.
"But I suppose it's to be expected - after all it's not every day a pond is offered for sale. In my 25 years in the business I have sold only three."
The auctioneers' description says the pond "occupies a delightful position adjoining open fields and looking towards Greno Wood".
And t
he new owner could even decide to turn their fishpond into a nest-egg - the pond offers around 20 pegs for fishermen, currently charging £2.50 per day.
"The purchaser will have right of way over the Working Men's Club and car parking facilities will be available," the auctioneers' details continue.
"On the whole, an excellent opportunity is offered to either a private individual or syndicate looking to improve the fishery for personal or commercial ends."
The auction takes place in the Platinum Suite at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane ground on March 11.
