Looking for a MW/HW 'best friend' on loan, for my hubby to hack with me?
Sex/colour/breeding immaterial but must be up to weight.
Now, hubby is a confident guy around horses (has ridden on and off through the years), but is still a novice all the same and so new 'best friend' would need to be just that, one that will take care of him. Hubby is happy to put his foot down with any Meldrew behaviour as long as there isn't a risk of him getting hurt in the process - ok, that's a condition of mine, rather than his.
My youngster is kept with at the DIY yard on our lane, and I can see the horses from the front/back of the cottage depending on which field they're in. Location is idyllic with plenty of hacking and a school for playing in. New 'best friend' will be treated as one of the family, and will get the attention he/she deserves.
May suit something that has grown too big, something older that requires an easier life (but is too good to be a field ornament/retire), or perhaps a maternity leave/work enforced break etc?
I am capable of schooling on anything that needs a little work in that department, but utimately needs to be sane/sensible/trust worthy, and able to have a bit of fun!
