have you looked at adoption?
really looking for a rehoming dog that needs a loving home I think so ;)
Presumably there's a boxer rescue/welfare? does anyone know it. I'll go have a look for you, presumably it's a part of the breed club.
The breed rescues often have young adults in, particularly when people have gone and got a dog not realising that boxers are high energy beasties (dalmatian welfare experience the same problem!)
You could also try contacting boxer breeders to find out if they have had any returned to them - good breeders have a returns contract and if the owners can't keep the dog for whatever reason (could be a fab dog but marriage breakup means it has to go) then they take it back to the breeder.
This way you may also get a 'rescue' that has come from a good breeder and reduces the risk of future major health problems that dogs from bad breeders have.
duh sorry its sunday afternoon and i just ate my dinner. now im ready for a nap.

pet-walkiz 24-02-2008, 20:32 error on information .many apologies
http://www.boxerdogrescue.co.uk/boxersneedinghomes.htm Loads of boxers needing new homes here.
Please don't discount oldies either. I adopted an oldie from dally welfare, now 13 he enjoys long walks in the country, play fighting with my younger dally and cuddling up to his human family. Ok, they're not around as long, but in many cases you'll still be able to enjoy many of the boxer traits you want from a younger dog.
Good luck.

have you tried the northern boxer rescue ?
thanks for the replys uys i have lloked at adoption at rspca etc but didnt have any boxers in and really got my heart set on one i also know there energetic has i also have u staffies all ready and one of them is also really energetic
Energetic is an understatement- they are very similar in size and exercise demands to a doberman - and at 38kg, Ailsa is a STRONG, head strong bitch. Males are even bigger and heavier - not sure how they comapre with staffies but I'm guessing staffies are maybe 25-30kg? So be aware- a boxer will be a big difference. Boxers are fab dogs - big softies but dippy and giddy like dobes and dallies and you need to persevere with the training - they will try it on if they think theyve got the measure of you, but then you'll have experience of that with your staffies - I would suggest if you find a boxer, you make sure your staffies are introduced to it before you make the final decision to rehome to make sure they will get along. Good luck.
You can add your request to the RainRescue forum
we have a number of rescues reading regularly, so you may be offered one from a small rescue elsewhere in the country - and if necessary there are often people who can help with transport
