Hi Petal
Welcome to Sheffieldforum.

Are you in Sheffield, or are you one of our 'exile' members?

Okay. Open season

I checked this person was still on line before and after I posted

No response

Can we have a new class of membership for people who ask for relatives and then disappear? We can call it 'post-and-go' :D

There's been a lot of this going on on here Petal. There have been a lot of people asking for relatives or help with homework who don't even bother to come back, so we find we've been wasting our time trying to help.

Glad to see you're not one of those

I hope somebody knows something useful for you. Can you give any more details? Any idea what jobs they did?

Hi Strix, thanks i'm sure margaret or Patricia was in one of the forces, not sure which one though,my mother married Kenneth Parkinson and they had a daughter Trenna whilst living in sheffield, then they moved to portsmouth round about 1958.they went on to have 7 more children ,and the sad thing is that we have family out there somewhere which we have never met.Im 44 now and feel that we have all missed out.It would be so lovely to finally meet our family. So if there is anyone out there who does know the where abouts of any of the family i would be extremely greatful.thankyou all so much for taking the time to read this .Petal

Looks like we're struggling here, Petal ;)

Prod 'search' on the left hand side, and put 'pagehall' in the box. Join in some threads, but don't spam them with your query. Making friends on here is a good way to get answers

You never know - somebody may remember to ask Aunt Aggie if she remembers them if you make friends :)

There are only 5 CA Booth in the BT Directory with Sheffield postcodes. Why not give them a call?

Go to www.bt.com and go down to the bottom left of the page to see the link to directory enquiries.

I was at school with Kathy Booth who will be 45/6 now and lived on Bolsover Road or Idsworth Rd, does that ring any bells.

Petal, do you know of any "Ladsons" in the Booth family?

My partners Great Grandma was a Booth and she married a Ladson. This Mrs Booth (he cant rmember her 1st name) was born in 1900 and lived in shiregreen. She had two sons, Arthur and Dennis Ladson, sadly though Dennis died when he was two in a drowning accident in wooley woods.
