anyone know any history about 342 loxley road.my family had it for years

Hiya.

I lived at 348 Loxley Road many, many years ago!

Was it the end cottage in a row of four, or one of the big houses that have been there years?

i remember the old cottages,in the 6 weeks holidays when i stayed at my grans,used to hang around with a lad i think was called andy,346 i think

In case it is of interest, I have a directory for 1925. At that time the householder was Frederick J. Brookes, described as a "turner".

Hi number1owlal - I guess you know this already, but I also looked up your great-grandad in the 1901 census. At that time he lived at 61 Manvers Road and was described as a "Shot and Shell Turner".
