Hello everyone this is Kira here, and I'm using Mummies pc because I am a very clever girl :D
Now my new Mummy is rather cross with me, and I don't know why perhaps you can help?

You see the problem is that I think she's getting forgetful, every night she just goes off to bed, turns off the light, and she forgets to take me :o yes thats right she just leaves me all on my own with my new grandma's Meg and Lucy, and this has gone on for a week, now surely there has to be some sort of mistake... that can't be right can it?

But don't worry I do try to jog her memory by shouting her, *sigh* I shout so loud, and I think that she might be deaf because she still doesn't come back for me  anyway I don't give up because it's for her own good, so I shout and shout for at least half an hour, then I fall asleep... sometimes

Now last night I tried really hard to make Mummy realise that she had forgotten me, I was worn out trying, I mean I was shouting her until 2am... but she didn't hear  anyway I woke up at 6am and thought well I will wake her up early and we can have a lovely day together, so I shouted Mummeeeeeeee Mummeeeeeeee, I shouted at the deaf old crow for over half an hour :suspect: anyway eventually she must have heard because she got up :D

Now I was very pleased with Mummy for at last showing signs of being trained at last, and I wanted to give her a big love... but Mummy didn't let me  in fact Mummy seemed very cross and grumpy, in fact she almost threw my breakfast at me, and refused to give me a cuddle.

What shall I do? my Mummy is running me ragged and I'm getting no sleep looking after her like this, I never realised that owning a human would be so difficult...please help.
Love from Kira (http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d159/5critters/?action=view&current=Picture642.jpg)

ahhh that is so sweet.
your mummy is not forgetting you at all, she is trying to learn you to sleep on your own.
this must be difficult for you to understand as your still a baby.
maybe you could ask mummy for something to sleep with, with her smell on like an old t shirt.
you have to understand that mummys need their own bed and a good sleep so they are fresh to care for you the day after.

Dear Kira just keep on doing what you are doing
the humans in my house soon got the idea
and now I have a lovely warm basket in their bedroom, and sometimes if I'm really quiet I sneak on to the bed,
I am a very good boy though and sleep all night, and I am never naughty

My mum and my big brother just seem to sleep where they want, usually on the landing or downstairs,
but my human mum always tells everybody I am a special needs dog, so suppose I must be,
I love lots of cuddles and follow her everywhere.

If you need anymore advise let me know:thumbsup:
Love Barney

PS Its amazing what we can be taught to do:)

Hi Kira,

It's very hard work owning a human but the trick is to make really pathetic noises - they seem to like that.

I took me a while to train my mum and grandma but granddad was far quicker - I think males tend to be easier to train?

The one thing that really motivates all members of my primate family is banging on the kitchen door :D :D

They LOVE the grooves it makes in the wood when my nails scrape it and as soon as I start I know it works when I hear the thud of feet on the stairs and 'Ok! ok! I'm coming!!!!' When they get there and see the lovely patterns in the door they get hysterical and really excitable - it's great!!

Good luck with the night time routine - shouting never got me anywhere so you could try the door thing but if there is any mention of the word 'crate' tone down the door banging for a while until they dismiss the idea again! (It's very difficult to train them from a crate!)

Best wishes,

Takara.

Hi Moonbird dont know if this is of any use but i watched that dog training woman on the telly. A woman had the same prob you are having so she put a baby gate on the bedroom door & a doggy bed on the outside & it worked. No more shouting :)

Kira here again, will have to be quick cause I think that mum is suspecting something, she can appear almost intelligent at times :suspect:.
Thank you Barney and Takara for your very helpful tips, I am sure I am going to need to try all of them to get topside of my Mummy she is very stubborn.
Thank goodness for Mummies forgetfulness, she went back off upstairs for a couple of hours and guess what... she forgot to put me in my crate :D I shouted her but she didn't hear again, so this time I had fun and I ate her socks and gloves, well I was sooo tired after that and fell asleep for 2 hours, woke up had 2 wee's on the floor and called Mummy, she came to me again, I think I'm making a breakthrough in her training now :D
Mummy wasn't as cross as earlier and she gave me some biscuits and cleaned up my wee without saying those bad words she sometimes says  while she did that I poo'd on the toilet floor, I am a clever girl.
All seems stable at the moment and Mummy has given me a lovely cuddle and been quite friendly... I can't wait to commence training tonight!
Love Kira.
P.s this is me after a hard session training Mummy tired (http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d159/5critters/?action=view&current=Picture.jpg)
And here I am when Mummies back was turned, her chair is quite cosy you know... it will soon be mine :D comfy chair (http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d159/5critters/?action=view&current=Picture682.jpg)

Hi Kira, I'm sure your mummy doesnt mean to leave you downstairs all on your own and if you howl REALLY REALLY LOUDLY in that persistent whiney way that all dogs eventually master, you will eventually get her attention, if not the attention of the entire estate and you'll soon have that basket at the end of her bed... or even a place on the bed itself - it worked for me.

Love Ailsa the dobermutt

PS. I'm really lucky- my mummy and daddy bought a lovely leather sofa JUST for me (well at least I think it was- but I sometimes let them share it with me and the cats)

Hi its chloe here, id judt like to say that my mummy leaves me downstairs everynight, she says at 33kg im to heavy to be carried up and downstairs and i cant manage them myself as my legs are old and i lived in a bungalow before living here. I dont think its fair that all the others can run upstairs to sleep with mum and dad so i tell them, usually just about 30 mins before they are due up, that way they dont go back to bed as its to late so i get lots more cuddles. Its helped though as mummy now put me in my jimjams before i go tto bed so im nice and warm and often forget and fall to sleep. Try it Kira you may get some nice jim jams too or even a bed in the bedroom if you are really persistant. Chloe.x.

Dear kira, if your mum doesnt get her act together you could always throw her out so she goes to a place were she wont get as much love but there again someone like rainrescue will come along and save her and try to find a nice doggie to give her a forever home and she`ll get spoilt rotten, tell her the only reason you make all this noise is because you want to look after her-- wouldn`t she be worried if she couldn`t see you ??

Hi Kira, I howled all night and my mummy didn't hear me but Daddy did he took me upstairs and placed me right between mummy and daddy !!! Its nice and warm there too, My mummy wasn't to keen at first but i never poohed or wee'd in their bedroom , i went down stairs and did it at the bottom of the stairs for my daddy to put his foot in. I have slept with them since day one and fully intend to forever!!!mummy says when i get my new playmate i will have to sleep with her, i am looking forward to teaching her to do all the naughty things i did a year ago when i was a wee puppy. I am also looking forward to teaching her how to chase the cat but i won't teach her to chase our house bunny as she is seriously scarry and tries to eat my tail!!! and more to the point she is the boss! i would'nt dare be naughty to her as she sleeps in my crate and tries eating my dinner, she drinks my water too.
Hope all goes well for you Kira .

Dear Kira, I saw Strix telling your mummy that you can come and stay at our house, if you don't buck up your ideas - I've no idea what that means, but I have a feeling it's not good!!

Whenever dogs come to stay at our house, they have to sleep in the big cage in the kitchen (unless there's a thunderstorm and they get to sleep under the bed - which is a bit weird  ). If they're noisy they have a blanket thrown over them until they're quiet, and they certainly aren't allowed to sit on anybody's knee or on the sofa! (Though there was one little black dog who'd had a really bad day so we all got to sleep in the big bed that night :D )

I'd count yourself lucky, get the hang of 'bedtime' and don't do anything that gets you sent to Strix's Bootcamp :P (You're not even allowed upstairs if you're a visitor  )

Hi Kira! Harv and Truly here!

We were exactly the same as you for a long time, shouting mum all night long. Its very strange moving inwith new parents, they have rules and everything! We are happy now, we hide in our crate when wwe are scared of strangers, and they leave us alone. We shout mum still when the wind is really bad but we feel a lot better since she bought us a brand new bed :D

Hi Kira,

Oz here. You have all your tactics wrong. Instead of barking try shaking and acting very scared, it worked for me and I was allowed on the bed in no time. They said they felt sorry for me and I looked happier under the covers by my mums feet. I think she knew I was scared of falling asleep and they would be gone. I fall into deep sleeps and don't know what is going on around me. They might have gone never to come back. It gets a bit boring though Kira, they move about a lot and take up all the room. I have decided it is better in my own bed now and as long as they leave the door open so I can go and check they haven't left me (very quietly, they don't like it when you wake them up the same as us) I usually prefer to be in my own bed.
When I first moved with them they lived in one room so they couldn't put me behind a scarey door. It doesn't sound very nice. No need to be making loads of noise though even I find it very annoying. Save it for the burgulars that walk past the house and come to the door, it only works with them to make them go away.

Good look with your human training Kira, you don't want to have to go to university of Strix. x

Hello Oz, I never thought of being scared and shaking but it does sound like it might work cause Mummy is very easy to trick sometimes.
Since the Strix thing I have pretty much given up on shouting mummy, for one thing its wearing me out, and I think that she is just deaf as a bat anyway, obviousy a special needs human she can't help it I suppose
At the moment I am concentrating my efforts on training Mummy to clean up lots of wee and poo... and I must say that she is much better at that than answering shouting, she has also learned to feed me and cuddle me a lot, and last night I trained her to throw me a ball, I kept giving it back to her and she threw it again, she shows that she might be trainable... in the long run! :hihi:

The way this thread is going is really creative. It would make a really good, humourous and light hearted manual on 'how to bring up your human' (I mean puppy!). Ever thought of continuing until you have a bookful, then you could get it published and sell it to raise funds for your animal charities?.............. :)

Hi Kira,

My name's Maisey, I've been reading this thread but didn't have anything to offer as I think my humans and I have finally found a compramise. I let them sleep in their bed but can keep an eye on them from the carrier on the floor. They're easier to train 1-2-1.

I made some progress with the female this weekend using something called 'Guilt' - its an odd, but highly effective, human thing. She has been taking liberties all week by going to this thing called 'work' (The male goes too but at different times). Then showed signs of escaping on Saturday - I wasn't having that!

I used a technique where I sat on her knee and licked her face. At the same time made my eyes really wide. It worked and I managed to walk her 6 1/2 miles. I remembered to show her who was boss - like the books say. I barked everytime she stopped stroking me on the bus and chased pigeons in the city centre. I've learnt another human trait - 'embarassment' (they'll give you what you want to prevent this).

I hope this helps? Oh and by the way, I've discovered that you can stop them sharing ideas online by jumping on the power button of the laptop. She barks a lot when I do that!

Hi Maisey  I have also stumbled on the guilt thing with Mummy, sometimes she gets a bit grumbly when I train her a lot to clean wee and poo up, so I have found that if I look at her and try to look sad she is much more efficient, and quicker with everything :D
Mmm chasing pigeons sounds fun, soon I will be training Mummy to walk on a lead, but first she keeps on about my jabs what ever they are, after the jabbing thing I'm going to teach Mummy to go for walks in the park with me and my brother Durham and granny Meg (Mummy says that granny Lucy is too old and poorly, shame that ) its all go with them isn't it Maisey? :D

You're doing very well for a young pup! The sad look works well but if you really want to make an impact try running and hiding - I get some great reactions from running under the kitchen table. Alternatively, if you're allowed on the sofa, sit next to the human but don't look at them and ignore any attempts to fuss you (even if you need a cuddle), this is called 'sulking'.

Once you're lead training her let me know, I have tips on stopping dead when the go the wrong way, when and when not to respond to calls and my favourite the bext place to poo t enduce 'embarassment' as discussed above.

Jabs aren't so bad but last time my female took me for my injections they made me fall asleep and did something called 'spey' me. That wasn't cool, it wasn't painful but she thought I'd want to wear this white collar that made me look like a lampshade - I showed her!

Oh don't get me wrong - it's not all bad here

we seem to get to go for more walks when other dogs visit, and we all go to the pub together (where we're allowed to drink beer), and lots of other people seem to come and visit to see the dogs who stay - though the one thing I'm not sure about is that sometimes the visiting dog leaves with somebody then doesn't come back!

I've tried scowling at Strix from my throne halfway up the stairs to show my disapproval (and to stop her from getting any ideas about giving me away too), but it still seems to happen :(

At least the last two dogs who visited have been back with the other people a couple of times, and we've been to see them at their 'new house', so I know they're okay - and I get to make new rules at the new houses I visit :D

I'm just trying to convince Strix that dogs are allowed to lick the plates when people finish eating - well they can at Clive's house anyway :P

My new friend Mojo isn't fully house trained so when she wee's i have decided i will wee too , mummy and Daddy arn't happy with that so i did a poo and they were even morre unhappy and put me in my crate , they told me off even more , I don't think i will try that one again , How can i get Mojo not to do it to , then my mummy and daddy will be happy with us again.

Hi Badger and Mojo, well fancy your mummy and daddy locking you up so that you can't share their dinner, thats really mean!
You will have to have a good talk with Mojo because I find that humans find weeing and pooing in the house to be a big problem for some reason, I don't know why they don't do it themselves as its very comforting don't you think?
My granny Meg sometimes wees on her bed, she doesn't care she loves the smell... now Mummy she goes off alarming and drags it off her right away then throws it into the wet chuggy rumbly thing and sticks it outside on a rope :? well nothing much suprises me any more where Mummy is concerned!

I had a bit of a suprise today, I was minding my own business then Mummy began gathering stuff together, before I knew it she had scooped me up and took me out of the front door :o well you could have knocked me down with a feather I mean usually I am never allowed out of that door, I discovered that mummy had been hiding what she called "the world" from me :suspect:

Out there I saw millions of humans, and whizzy things that Mummy called cars and we went on a big roaring thing that is called a bus, at first I was very worried indeed, but after a while I realised that Mummy was protecting me and I relaxed a bit.
We got off the bus and went to a place that I found to my delight had some more dogs and puppies inside, and even a cat in a box :D well as you will guess I was very excited and I began to talk to the dogs right away, they didn't want to talk back so I shouted and shouted... Mummy never likes my shouting and she grumbled and made me sit still

After a few minutes I went into a room and I got to stand on the table, now Mummy doesn't allow that at home, so I wagged my tail a lot to show how pleased I was with her, then suddenly this woman came and jabbed my neck with a sharp needle  I now realise what Mummy meant about jabs hmm.
After a ride home on the bus we all had tea.... I have been very sleepy since then, in fact its been such a busy day that I think I will get my head down again.

Hi Kira its Barney, I'm in big trouble today, we've all been a nice walk to the fields me my Dad and my Big Brother
(he's a ginormous german shepherd and always looks after me, I have to admit I'm really brave when he's there and do sometimes bark at other dogs.)

Anyway this morning down the fields I saw this poor little dead hedgehog,
so I decided to roll all over him to see if I could wake him up,
I got covered in some green slimy stuff,:gag:and I really tried but he didn't wake up,
my dad went mad and said I stank, funny things these humans I was only trying to help another animal:confused:
So when we got home he plonked me in a bowl of water, and shouted at me,
but my human mum loved me better and said not to listen to the naughty man shouting at me so I'm not,

My mum Ellie just sat there looking disgusted
she never ever does anything wrong such a sweetheart my dad calls her blooming Miss Perfect if you ask me.

Hi Kira, Molly here

I'm in trouble this morning. Mummy shouted at me when she saw that I'd got into the kitchen cupboard and chewed up all the plastic boxes with the food in. Then I chased Arthur round the living room and he scratched my face and I got one of his claws stuck near my eye and then I was playing with Billy and we knocked over everything on the fireplace and smashed a glass.

Then I barked at the postman and anyone else I could find to bark at- mummy was angry at me and sent me to lie on my bed, but every time she stopped staring at me I sneaked off to go and chase Billy again, he he he.

Making mummy angry is fun! You should try it.

Hello again Barney, how kind you were to the little stricken hedgehog, "dead" sounds very bad
My Mummy has threatened me with the bowl of water too, she says I stink and that I have sweaty feet  I think that she has got used to it now though because she keeps forgetting to do it :hihi:
Uncle Durham is really ladi da and perfect like your Mum Ellie, he just sits on the sofa looking all snooty with his legs crossed and never getting into trouble like I do :(

Hi there Molly, what a fun loving sort you sound, just like me I love to have a good time :D
I have such good fun with my friend Oliver, we wrestle and chase, I luvs him... now I am bigger when I squish him he makes such lovely little noises simply adorable  and when Mummy picks him up to take him away I pull his tail and he makes a lovely screeching noise which I particularly love, it makes me feel all happy inside.
That is until Mummy notices she is such a spoilsport with our games  she says that I am too rough for him, but thats not true me and Oli we are like brother and sister now, I want to go everywhere with him, because he does such cool things.
My Mummy does get a bit cross with me when I play a lot with Oli, although she does laugh when I try to push her sock in Oli's mouth to play tug, Oli is not good at that game... shame that!

The bowl of water is great fun! Mum bought something called a baby bath (I think she's gone a bit mad, I'm 4 years old!). I managed to almost empty it splashing around. It was great soaking mum and the carpet - even she admits that in hindsight the front room was a bad idea. The baby bath now lives in the back yard, I drink out of it when she's not looking (rain water is much nicer than that clean stuff she puts in my bowl).

Hi Kira

That is a lovely name! I am called Kiri after Kiri te Kanawa who is an opera singer. Mummy named me because I sang to her all night long when she left me at first, but I don't do it any more. I am 13 now, but I have never managed to train my mummy to let me upstairs. I do sometimes creep upstairs and do a poo under the bed, just to keep them on their toes, but only very rarely, and I have to creep back down again really quietly so they don't know.

Once the back door was left open and they searched the streets for me, and I was hiding upstairs all the time - ooh that was fun!

I like to sleep downstairs in my bed, or sometimes on towels or clothes that I pull off the radiator. They don't smell right, so I have to roll on them to get them nice and covered with the right smell. Mummy loves it when I do that, she gets really excited! I have 3 friends who are cats, Millie who is very old and frail, Peggy who sneezes a lot, and Ginger who thinks he is as good as me - I do have to show him who is boss from time to time. He is really good fun to chase as he shoots out of the house and right down the garden. As I can fit through the cat flap I can chase him a long way! They don't always like me because I eat their food, and the vet says I should really eat dog food, but after 13 years of eating cat food, I don't think I can change now - when mummy tries to make me eat dog food I show her how bad it is by spilling it on the floor and rolling in it :)

Speaking of rolling in things, have you tried the goose poo you can sometimes find around ponds! Wow that stuff rocks!

Love
Kiri

Hi there, how nice to meet you Kiri, our names almost match don't they?:D
Why on earth did you stop your singing? you should have carried on with it, I still do... whats it matter? Mummy don't seem to hear me anyway *shrugs*.
Mummy says as I have now been doing it for over 2 weeks its a record and she thinks that I will never stop it, Mummy pulls a sad face when she says that, and mentions something about her nerves being shot... I don't know what that means but it don't sound good  Mummy remains very hard to train her recall is very bad!
I still like to poo here and there in the house and a little wee wee too sometimes, Mummy has got very good with her training in that way she does clean it up quickly, although I like to go outside mostly now like my grannies and uncle do.
Pooing under Mummies bed sounds like great fun, I might try that sometime as I often race up there with Oli and we have some really good times, Mummy has 2 teddy bears up there and we like to play with them, and Oli jumps up onto the drawers and he knocks things down for me to play with, oh I do luv Oli :).
I like to chase the other cats too just like you Kiri, they are a bit worried about me so run away sometimes.... mind you they can't always be bothered and sometimes they just swear and smack me with their prickly paws, thats not very nice
I never tried rolling yet as I am only half way through my jabs but I bet its fun, mind you Granny Meg was playing with me the other day and she made me roll in some of my own poo in the garden, it went on my back I didn't like that much :gag: I demanded that Mummy clean it off and she did right away bless her, she's not all bad :).

Hello everyone I'm bored so I thought that I might type to you for a while.
Well I've lived here with mummy for almost 5 weeks now, she is hard work and it can be disappointing because my training often doesn't work on her but all things considered lifes not to bad, I get lots of dinners here and Mummy says I'm getting chubby (she should look in the mirror herself  ).
We had a little upset here week before last , little Granny Lucy went away to the vets and didn't come back home, Mummy was very upset and so was Granny Meg, Granny Meg kept looking for Granny Lucy and shouting at night for her, and that made me cry, and then Mummy did as well  but we all feel a bit better now.
Then Oli my little mate who I luvs so dearly went to the vets as well, but he came back again and was a bit sad and mardy, Mummy said he had his bits taken off, well I hope the vet doesn't do that to me cause poor Oli he had to go lie down, and then he couldn't play with me for ages, and I got done off Mummy for jumping on him all the time, Mummy said she felt like tearing her hair out :o well I don't know why she didn't its a mess anyway!
Last Thursday I had my last jab, it wasn't to bad this time, oh I loves it there I see lots of other dogs and some cats, but I'm not allowed to play with them, so I make do with shouting to them, this seems to annoy Mummy...oh well she best get used to it I like to shout.
Mummy says that soon I can go with her, Granny Meg and Uncle Durham when they go out to the world, I will be glad because now Granny Lucy is gone I have to be all alone with the cats when they go and I cry and shout...the world is very big I know this from going to the vets, I'm a little bit worried cause Mummy says I will have to walk on a lead like the others and she won't carry me, she says it will wear me out, well thats not very nice is it? :(
I tried what Kiri suggested and sometimes I run upstairs and poo in Mummies bedroom, I'm so quick that she doesn't even know I did it and she finds it when she goes to bed, thats a laugh I can tell you, she don't half complain up there :hihi: thanks for giving me the idea Kiri its proving great fun.
Well suppose I had better get going I have a nice juicy chew to get stuck into, and I don't want the others getting it... greedy pigs!
Hope all me new mates are ok? and hope to hear from you all soon.
Love Kira x

I am sorry to hear about your granny Lucy, Kira :(
You must miss her a lot.

Ouch - it sounds a bit bad to have your bits taken off :o You could try running and hiding under the bed if you think they are going to take you. I haven't had that done to me, although I did have to have a hysterical-ectomy (or something) when I got a bit poorly. Mummy said that meant I couldn't have puppies now, but that is ok, I am too old for babies.

I get mummy to carry me by pretending to have a lame leg and looking very sad, you could try that, but it is important to remember to keep it the same leg all the time - sometimes I forget and swap legs, then mummy laughs at me - grrrr.

I am glad you have made use of my suggestion - I am always happy to be of help. I hope your mummy doesn't do what my mum did - put locks on the bedroom doors! I have to nip up quick now when the children forget to lock them - I still manage a few :)

It is nice to hear from you - keep up the good work :)

Your friend

Kiri.

Hello everyone Kira here, well its been a while but I have been very busy lately and I have lots of news for all of my friends.

Where to begin...well, I am going out for walks now with Mummy, Granny Meg and Uncle Durham, I also have a brand new harness and I feel very posh and proud when I'm out, I love going out to the world, Mummy takes me to the park... oh I loves it there, its big and I get to run and run, Mummy does laugh at my ears flapping and my gangly legs (not very nice I don't think,still...) there are trees and lots of luverly smells, and loads of other dogs, I shout and shout then I run to them and often they play with me, I so loves to play :D, sometimes I make Mummy get all excited when I plays a trick on her and don't come back, but I do try to be good cause I loves the park so much.

The other thing I do now is I have started to go to this place called dog training  there are lots of other dogs there I loves it, it is the most exciting place in the world... even more than the park I think, Mummy sits down and tries to look all nice and sensible while I shout and shout to the other dogs, mainly they shout back as well, and some come to look at me and some try to play, Mummy seems to get flustered about this, anyway I'm sure she will get over it.
The dogs at training told me this is where you come when your human needs training well at last  I have needed help with Mummy (as you know) for quite some time, at last I think I am getting the upper hand with her.

Oh yes and of course I mustn't forget some important news on the family front... well one day a couple of weeks ago Mummy went out with Strix, when they came back they had something in their arms, the something made lovely little noises, well I was very curious so I had a look, oh you will never guess what it was... it was 2 little tiny puppy girls :D,
Mummy told me that I had to be very careful and kind and that they are my foster sisters, well let me tell you I loves them so much, they are really naughty too, they play lots and lots with me, and follow me around... it does make me laugh because they fall over a lot and sometimes fall in their wee wee or dinner.

Mummy does let us play a lot because she says we are all just puppies, sometimes I see her with her head in her hands rocking and shaking a bit (isn't it funny when they do that?) and I just think aww bless Mummy for bringing my new sisters here to me.
At first the sisters thought that I was their Mummy, they even tried to feed from me all the time :o but I was very kind and gentle then and I learned them that I had no milkies, Mummy helped them to eat food and then they stopped it sucking me.
Oh we have such jolly jolly fun now, I run and run and the sisters try to catch me, but they just fall down :hihi: we do lots of naughty things to, like pulling Mummies plants, and chewing things up, its really great cause I didn't do that before, but like Mummy says my little sisters have learned me lots of things, and I learn them.

Now sometimes I feel a bit sad because I know my little sisters have to find new Mummies soon, perhaps some of you could tell me how to make Mummy let the sisters stay?
Here are some pics of me and the Sisters doing things that we enjoy

Dear Kira
Josh here, what you need to do is a human phycology course. They do get confused easily, but once you master their perverse way of thinking things will get better. Firstly you need to establish a very firm pack order with them, but dont be bossy about it. You have to be a bit sneaky and get them round to your way of thinking. It took some doing with mine, the male is pretty intelligent but the female - wow- she takes some believing. She actually thought that dogs were bottom of the pack. She even thought the cats were above dogs.

Took some sorting out I can tell you. I suggest trying the human Lotties dogs. They have done a lot of research and even sent her on courses about canine behaviour.

Dont give up on your humans just yet, they could take up to a YEAR to train properly

Josh

Hi Everybody! I'm Casper.

I'm really enjoying reading all about your adventures, I always need new ideas in how to drive my humans barmy! I've had a hard job getting here to write to you. Mum hides the computer somewhere called upstairs and to get here I have to get through a locked gate and climb a huuuge mountain! I've figured it out though, I noticed that when my big sister Jenny takes her nap at the foot of the mountain shes just in the right place for me to use her as a springboard to jump right over the gate! I can climb the mountain easily now though. I just have to go really quiet because dad shouts if he hears me. That makes me sad as aren't my humans only there to fetch me stuff? When I was a baby and I got sad I put my ears all flat and covered my nose with my paw. I noticed how that made mum say 'awww' and not be mad at me so I do it all the time now. Humans are so easily fooled!

I saw the picture of your Harness Kira and I have one just like it in Green, I love wearing it because it doesn't make me cough when I have to rush to investigate something but I think it looks much better when it's covered in mud. Casey, I bet you don't have to do this if yours is brown already! Mum says it's a good job it goes in the washer okay! Pristine white is such a girly colour and I'm not a girl so I do everything I can do get a much more macho brown. Actually, Kira, your uncle Durham gave me an idea of how to get reeeeallly muddy by laying down in a puddle. Tell him thanks from me!

I really must be off now, I can hear Jenny playing with my toys again. She'll soon give then back when I pull her tail.

Chow!

Whenever dogs come to stay at our house, they have to sleep in the big cage in the kitchen and they certainly aren't allowed to sit on anybody's knee or on the sofa!

Brude, the cutest beagle on the planet - or so everybody tells me :P

Yayyyyy!!! That was me!! Clivey here. Must say I have been using 'the net' quite a bit myself as I am six now so a lot bigger than you. I have even sent emails to mummys friends before!

Auntie Strix can be a bit strict but if you ever got to stay there you know she'd look after you - she just wouldn't let you get away with all that barking and stuff.

I have the best of both worlds - I behave myself when I go to stay at her house then be the baddest dog ever when I get home! My mum too has got me a lovely big leather setee to sit on. Actually theres a lot of things to sit on in our lounge but I always lay with mummy even though there's space in other places. I lay on her if I can - that way I get her warmth and I can breathe in her aroma! I love her smell - mmmmmmmm. She gets cross after a bit tho and moves me off but I get up again after a bit. Basically I do what I want in my mums house cos she is a bit soft with me and also she is a bit distracted sometimes.

I do have the very responsible job of protecting her though and to be honest it is sometimes a relief to go to Aunty Strix's house and take a bit of time off from doing all the guarding. I have to check the daily post delivery and see off the post person that tries to break into our house at least 5 times a week! The cheek! I soon deal with the stuff they leave as they run away frightened of my barking and growling at the other side of the letterbox. Its fun to shred it all into little pieces and it gets rid of my annoyance with them. Mum shouts at me though and smacks me on the nose with (what's left of) the post. There's gratitude for ya! Then there are the people who think they can just walk along the pavement outside our house, bold as you like. It's MY window and what I can see from it is mine too so GET LOST! I'm ok when I go to a pub if you are already there when I get in, but anyone who arrives after ME is in MY territory and boy do I let them know it.

I don't bark when mum leaves me downstairs, but I do if I hear a noise, which makes mum sometimes come downstairs to see what I have heard. That's good cos it spooks her a bit so she takes me back up with her to bed to feel safe. I love it on mum's bed. Although it's huge I lay right up to her so that if she turns over she rolls on me. It's fun, but not fun when she uses her foot under the blankets to push me away. The thing is my mum is inconsistent in her behaviour so some days I get away with stuff and some days don't. She changes like the weather!! Strx tells her that's not a good way to be and although mummy knows she is right, she forgets and Clivey boy is in there like a shot.

Spot their weaknesses and go in for the kill. Works every time!!

Oh don't get me wrong - it's not all bad here

I'm just trying to convince Strix that dogs are allowed to lick the plates when people finish eating - well they can at Clive's house anyway :P

See what I mean??? I rest my case! My mum is the weakest human ever and sooooooo easy to train. Then again, I have had a few years at it with her so I guess f I haven't got her how I want her by now then it's pretty much time to give up...

Kizzy does that ripping up the mail thing, it's sooo annoying! And the barking randomly when she hears something... like when the neighbour sometimes goes to work at 6am, she starts barking like a mad women for ages!

And she steals my socks. :( Only the pink ones though!

I'm so glad she can't read this, so she doesn't do anymore annoying things!

Please don't think that I am cruel, but our girl sleeps very well without a peep now. we were at one time point pulling our hair out due to the howling. but we tried this......

Dog wants you to respond, so respond but not the way they want you to, this will stop them.... they think "if i cry they will answer". ..... so we answered by using a sport water bottle and went and squeezed it at her nose (with water)..... not the result she wanted.. and she stopped immediately. Dont use any words or look at her.... it is absolutley amazing.. its a non-confrontational way of changing behaviour, by them learning that by crying they get a result they dont like.

Hello everyone Kira here :)
Well I really did just have to type to you all because my Mummy has gone too far this time.
Yesterday morning she unexpectedly put on my harness and lead and took me out, well I was very pleased with her obviously, we went on the bus so I thought this must be somewhere really nice that we are headed to.
We went to the vets :( I was prepared to make the best of it and I talked to some lovely Labradors and a Staffy girl that was waiting like me, but then I was taken to a room and looked at all over by the vet.
Before I knew it I was being marched away and Mummy left me there :o , they put me in a cage and something pricked my leg, well I was tired and fell asleep , I woke up in a right state, my tummy was all zipped up and sore, and someone had pulled my lovely baby teeth out, and if anything could make it worse...I was wearing some sort of lamp shade round my neck, how could they humiliate me like that?
Anyway Mummy did remember me after a bit and came to fetch me home, we had a lift in Auntie Lindas car, Daddy Dave carried me and sat with me, I loves Daddy Dave, in fact I loves him more than Mummy now, Mummy has been very bad to me
Mummy tried to be nice and make it up by giving me chicken I ate it all and some scrambled egg for supper, and loadssss of food this morning (I also gobbled up Ria's breakfast :hihi: ) but really she has gone to far, and I am making it clear by sulking at her and loving Daddy Dave .
Anyway I must go lie down now, I'm very sleepy and my tummy is very full.
Talk soon my doggy friends :)

Hi Kira, Charlie here, i'm borrowing mummy's laptop while she's at work and obviously very busy...
What a nasty trick for your mummy to play on you, i saw a vet last week but all he did was give me biscuits and squirt something on the back of my neck, mummy says it's so i don't get poorly :) she says i had an injection but i didn't feel anything!
She says now i can go outside, it's great fun especially the long grass which is fun to run through, but mummy says daddy needs to cut it so i don't get lost :(
Nevermind, i found the flower beds are just as much fun :hihi:

Hello everyone Kira here :D
Badger and Mojo
Mummy took the lovely squeaky little birdie to the bird man, he said it was a Blackbird, Mummy said she thought it was a thrush cause it was spotty
How mean of your Mummy to put you in the soapy water, our Mummy did that to us too, she says I smell  she can be very mean to me at times.
Casey
Me and My sister are very well thank you for asking, she is not called Ria now, she is called Feebee, and guess what..... Mummy says that she is staying here with us to be my real sister  I'm really glad cause I luvs her a lot, we play all the time and have a great time together, our bestiest game lately is stripping wallpaper and eating door frames, we are very good at it.
I remember when Mummy played that trick on me, and I was jabbed in the neck with some chips too, it stung a bit but I was very brave, Mummy gave me treats too after... I got my own back by pooing in the middle of a busy road Mummy seems to not like me doing that, she says it shows her up.... well when a girls gotta go a girls gotta go :D
My sister Feebee is really naughty (Mummy always calls her Peepee, because she does it so much) she runs upstairs and poo's in Mummies bedroom, I don't like to poo and wee in the house now, its really good because Mummy says I'm the good clean girl around here, and guess what.... my dreams all came true and now Mummy lets me sleep in her bedroom in my crate, I never let Mummy down and I let her sleep as much as she wants to without making a sound or moving all night long, oh I loves Mummy for letting me sleep upstairs and I try very hard to be really good for her now, Mummy says I am very good and really settling down now:D
I hope all of you my little mates are all well and happy, what have you all been up to lately?

Hi kira , Max here how did you get your mummy to allow you into her bedroom? I have to sleep in the kitchen except when i go to auntie Tina's and uncle Dave's they let me sleep with Bager and Mojo! I really like that, I went to stay last week with my friends as my mummy has MS and had to go into hospital for a few days , but I didn't fret as I was so happy playing with my mates.
My mummy took me to Steve at Peak vets to have my chip, I was very good until I wee'd all over the floor in the surgury, My mummy looked horrified so I just wagged my tail cutly so she would forget what iI had done.
Well I have to go now Kira but keep up the work.

Hello Max how lovely to meet you :D
I got into Mummies bedroom by keeping her awake for 3 whole months, I wanted to sleep with her but Mummy said NO it was really easy what I did why don't you try it? I shouted and shouted Mummy every night and every morning, and when Peepee came to live with us I played with her a lot and made a lovely lot of noise, Mummy was only allowed 4 hours sleep, I didn't think it would work cause it took so long, but one day out of the blue Mummy set up the crate and that was that, oh I was sooo happy.
I'm sorry to hear that your Mummy wasn't well, I hope that she is better now? and spoiling you rotten like she should be :D it sounds like great fun staying with Badger and Mojo, I like the sound of Mojo cause she poo's in her mums room you know...our Peepee does that.
Mmm those chips really are a bit of a worry for us dogs, I was reading where one poor dog lost his  I wonder if Mummies have chips  you did the best thing though wee'ing in the vets like that, it will make your Mummy think twice next time :D
Well I really must go its very late, *yawn*I can hear Mummy calling for bed, oh and tomorrow is a big day for us, its Peepee's first walk in the park with us other dogs after her jabs, we are going to run and run and have great fun :D
Nighty night all, I luvs you all my mates

Hi kira
Well I am with my mummy in her bed now!! she is asleep and i am nice and warm tucked up under the duvet with the pc on . Mummy says she is better but is very tired and uncle Dave has been 3 times today to see me , I love my walks with him but early today he took me to the woods and made me walk through loads of muddy puddles then complained when i shared my muddy bits with him, I also stole some dog buiscuits from his pocket when he was cleaning my feet.
This afternoon i went to play with Badger and Mojo they were all damp and smelled like the toilet water(the one humans think is nice) Badger and I went and found a place to roll in, Dave told us off and Mojo being a princess just looked on. I told her to go and pee in her mummy and daddys bedroom.
see you kira

Hello Kira, Josh here, long time no hear.
I too have joined the anti mummy brigage, I want nothing to do with mine ever again. I thought I could trust her but twice (yes twice) in the last week she had taken me to the vet and walked out on me, she left me with Colin who shaved my leg and took some blood. I didnt half show off I can tell you, its my blood and I am keeping it. Mum says its for my own good and I have to get better and put some weight on, well, I dont mind that bit but daring to leave me on my ownsome with the vet just isnt on. Mind you the veterinary nurse is lovely, wonder if she would make a good new mummy. Think I will put an advert up in the vets.....
What about on here, any good mummies wanting a loveable handsome humble gsd please pm my mummy and frighten her to death.

I am officially putting myself up for adoption now. I am not talking to HER at all. She took me back to vets this morning and they took some more blood, then they lovely veterinary nurse gave me some food, she says I am soooo handsome, well I think she is very pretty and when I gave her my paw she was really impressed with how clever I am.
Then SHE took me back again for another blood test. HMmp anyway she did try and make it up to me by taking me a lovely walk down Ford bottom. I had a nice play in the river and enjoyed myself. I even got my own back on HER by jumping in the smelly duck pond. Shes rinsed me down but even I can smell me!!! Its pretty bad I can tell you. Well serves her right for being horrible to me. And I thought I had her trained. Wonder how much I would get for her if I put up a Mummy for sale advert, not much I bet.

 Max well done I told you if you tried really hard you would get into Mummies bedroom  you are really doing well if we dogs stick together we will get them Mummies beat...wonder if Mojo did go pee in her Mummy and Daddies bedroom :hihi:
Casey our Peepee had a lovely time at the park, she was really scared at first, she doesn't like cars and busses, and she's such a silly she forgets to walk and just sits there looking around
Anyway when we got to the park and Mummy took Peepee's lead off she came to me and we did a lot of sniffing together, Peepee was ever so happy and she was sniffing everywhere, then we did a bit of chasing and we tried to trip Mummy up but that didnt work hmm but we had a really good time.
Guess what I did as well Casey....I found some gorgeous fox poo, Peepee just sniffed it, I could tell she liked it, but I just loved it so much I wanted to wear it and take that gorgeous smell home with me, so I rolled in it and ate some too, it was just yummy so tasty and nice.
Anyway I was ever so happy wearing my fox poo so I went to tell Mummy and Daddy Dave, I jumped on Daddy Daves knee when he sat on the bench and gave him a big kiss in his mouth, well you should have seen how he went off, he tasted the lovely fox poo and just went wild with excitement, jumping up and down with joy, I even put some of the poo on his glasses and on his jumper so that he could wear it too, I love my Daddy Dave.
When we got home rotten Mummy took all Daddys Daves clothes and put them in the washing machine, and she made him wash off all of our lovely fox poo, then she put me in the bath and wet me all over with horrible bubbles ...she spoilt that most lovely day for me, Daddy Dave and our Peepee

Josh I have to say that your Mummy sounds like a bad lot to make you have those tests, and its always bad when they leave you at that vet place...you tend to loose bits in my experience :(
I bet lots of kind Mummies would want a handsome GSD such as yourself, and whats wrong with being skinny anyway, our Durhams skinny and he runs right fast.
If your Mummy does that again don't bother charging money for her just give her away free to a good home, they won't know that she has behaviour problems until its to late :suspect:
Or you could try training her a bit more, lots of dogs have said that making Mummies feel guilty works very well, if you make yourself look sad, don't eat much and don't act happy Mummies get all concerned then they do what ever you want them to
I am really glad that you got your own back in the lovely smelly pond, it serves your Mummy right... now you need to go and sneak into your Mummies bed and make that smell of the pond too, well that's what I would do.
I wish you lots of luck with your naughty Mummy Josh... I will be thinking of you.
Lots of love Kira and Peepee xxxx

Thank you for your advice Kira, I couldnt sneak into her bed and make it smell of pondwater because being the bad mum she has become, she bathed me last night. Not only that but she subjected me to the hairdryer, she knows I hate it but said I might catch cold with not being very well at the moment. I think she doesnt like me anymore and feel very sad.

But I did have another trick up my sleeve. The vet gave me some food with a lot of fat content in it yesterday, it was lovely because I dont normally get stuff like that. But it has made my tummy rumble and I keep letting out bottom burps.... and they smell. At half past four this morning she had to get up to let me out, I ran around the bedroom and told her in no uncertian terms that if she didnt get up and let me out straight away I would do a whoopsie on the bedroom floor. It worked.
She looks a bit rough now and thinks she is going to go back to bed for an hours sleep but I think I will wait till she settles down and try the same trick again.
Its dreadful when we dogs have to do things like this, isnt it,but if they are disobedient they have to be taught a lesson dont they....

Hey Josh
Me and mojo get our mummy and daddy up at 5 every morning we love to see them stumble out of bed to sort us out, we then make sure we hold ur pee pee and poo's for as long as possible so we have an early morning walk before they have to go work !!
Failing that Mojo will poo under their bed when i tell her too. we curl up and giggle at the 2 of them. You know what else they actually walk other dogs for a living so you'd think they would know better. I have a friend called louie who has been staying for a few days we told him to bark very loudly at 4 am so we could go for a long lng walk!!! Mummy didn't heafr us but Daddy did and promply got up and took all 3 of us. we did all giggle. When my friend Quincy comes to see us on saturday we play up good a proper for our parents, we make quincy bark and bark so we get taken out all day and that works well!!! especially if we take our other friend max out too!! Max doesn't get out as much as he likes as his mummy has MS and can't walk him .
We love playing them up and wouldn't swap them for the world as we have them wrapped round our sweet little paws.
See ya Badger and Mojo xxxxxxx

Hey up Josh
It is dreadful when we have to do this type of things but sometimes our Mummies really do deserve it, they just seem set to spoil our fun as much as they can at times, and they are soooo hard to train, but the hard work does pay off... I mean it took me 3 months to train mine to let me sleep in her bedroom, but we got there in the end.
I find lack of sleep is a very useful training aid where Mummies are concerned, that and weeing and poo'ing in their houses, it can get you almost anywhere.
Its good to see that Mojo and Badger have had a lot of success in using the sleep deprivation and poo'ing method as well, I like the sound of those two I really do, they sound ever so naughty just like me and our Peepee.
Good luck with your naughty Mummy Josh she really does sound like a nightmare, just remember, never give up!

Hello Stanley Moose, long time no hear :D
I am very sorry to hear about your poor foot, I bet it really hurts  why is it that Mummies seem to drag us off the "that stinking place" every time anything happens? do they enjoy seeing things rammed up our bottoms and needles shoved in us or something? :gag: I really do think that they are a bit sadistic by nature.
If you don't want the hiding plasters on then just take them off, take no notice of your Mummy, what does she know shes only a human, ooh they are so full of themselves at times
I was pleased to see that the sleep deprivation method worked for you too in training your Mummy, I have been telling everyone what a success it is, well done Stanley. :D

hello everyone, it's Trixie here,

I've not been in my new forever-home very long, with my new forever-mummy, but I've made friends with my "big brother" Kane, who is teaching me all sorts of naughty tricks.

I even managed to chew up my mummy's book on dog-training today, the look on her face was a picture!

I'm starting to be a very good girl, because my big brother is showing me how to "be clean", which is what mummy tells us, when she lets us onto the back garden. I'm learning that it means that mummy wants us to do a wee and a poo, before we go for a walkies, so we keep the footpath clean for other humans who don't seem to like walking in our "little presents".

I've had a boo-boo on my tummy, too, kira, just like you! My mummy took me to the funny smelling place she said was the vet. the people were all fussing me and telling me what a pretty girlie I was, but they made me go to sleep for a little while, and I woke up with a sore tummy, too, and a lampshade round my head. Oooh it isn't half irritating me.

Still, mummy says it's for the best in the long run. I've got a little boo-boo now, and I'm a bit sore, but mummy says it will stop me getting much bigger and much nastier boo-boos when I grow up.

Hello my name is Barney and im a 4 year old male cat. Or should I say handsome cat

For the last year or so everyday I go across the road to this other family and they let me in their house to play with their cat called Bagpuss who looks similar to me. They feed me and let me sleep in their house. My mummy and daddy dont know so when I get home they feed me aswell! :hihi: I cant believe I have got away with it for so long!

Last week I was in Bagpusses mummy & daddys bedroom on the windowsill. I was getting some sun rays sat next to a cat ornament which I really like

All of a sudden I looked across the road and my mummy and daddy were looking out of their window looking and pointing straight across at me :o

Then they walked out of my house and started walking across the road and they were staring up at me and they looked really angry. I tried to camouflage myself against the cat ornament but it was too late. BUSTED!!! :help:

Then I heard the knock at the door. Oh dear..............

Next thing Mrs Bagpuss came in the bedroom and carried me downstairs and passed me to my daddy.

Then Mrs Bagpuss said she didnt encourage me but she didnt mind me coming in either. Then she told them I sometimes help myself to Bagpuss's biscuits. I cant believe she was revealing all my secrets! Then the worst bit came when she told my mummy and daddy that im a clever cat because I knew when it was their dinner time on a sunday because I always turn up at 3 o'clock and sit next to the table and wait for titbits of sunday roast.

Now im at home, my mummy and daddy dont seem angry and they even gave me fresh fish this morning. But they have still grounded me. My brothers and sisters are laughing at me. :(

Hello All, its really lovely to read how you are getting your mummys and daddys trained up.. Stanley Moose, I am sorry to hear about your poor foot, there are some right idiots about smashing glass up, I feel like I want to bite their bums very hard indeed when I hear about poor little puppies getting injured.
How nice to meet you Barney, my best friend in Tinker, he is a right honerable you know, an elderly stateman of a cat. He really loves me. When I told him about how our mummy was treating me he was wonderful. Last night he stayed out till 8pm. He normally doesnt go any further than the front garden but to teach her a lesson he hid. She was getting frantic, shouting him, rattling his plate, looking under bushes. Then he strolled in at a bout 8 oclock and demanded feeding, SHE jumped up and made a big fuss of him and fed him straight away... oh he didnt half show her who the boss was... I am really proud of him. Its good to have allies isnt it.
I have perfected a new ruse, laying quietly with my head on my paws and a sad look in my eyes. She gets all sympathetic when I do that. I havent had to use the pooh and wee routine in the last few days so she must be getting a little better. I hope so, I am quite attatched to her even if she smells a bit and could do with losing a bit of weight...

My "big brother" has been teaching me how to do "THE EYES!". He says it's been really effective, for him, for the last fifteen years, and yes, it keeps mummy JUST where he wants her.

He's shown me exactly how to do "the Look" :- it's a cross between "reproachful" and "pleading".

Mummy jokes that "she has us dogs exactly where we want her" :hihi:.

mwu-hahah... little does she know....

hehehehe

lots of love,

It's Trixie here again.

I went back to the funny smelling place that my mummy calls the vets the other day, and the lady there took the stitches out of my tummy. My "boo-boo", on my tummy, is healing up really nicely, the lady said.

I'm able to jump about like a mad-thing again, as my tummy is so much better, now.

I like to leap onto my mummy, in her wheelchair, as she opens the back door when she comes in from the shop.

She was a bit cross with me the other night, though:- she'd bought a takeaway, a curry and naan bread, and was halfway through eating it, when the phone rang.

When she went to answer it, I pinched half the naan bread, and came running into the kitchen, really proudly, to show mummy what a clever hunter I was, killing the bread....

Mummy told me off, :( but she laughed, too, so I don't think she really meant it.

I'm going to have to go, mummy's shouting me for a "walkies", she's calling me:- "Trixie, Trixie, full-of-tricks!" :hihi:

love Trixie.

Well guys and gals, I did her the other day. She took me back to the vets, no blood taken this time but he stuck a needle in my neck. I know she was trying to be nice because she took me to the park for a swim in the lake, I havent been allowed to do that since I was first poorly, but she says now she knows whats the matter with me I can go swimming again. Well, I jumped about in the long grass playing hide and seek with her and she was laughing at me, and then we went down to the lake, she didnt see the swan but I did. I launched into the lake and swam like billyO after it, but they are really clever birds those swans, they just swim a bit faster the closer you get. They have gone right up in my estimation. I swam nearly half the width of the lake after the swan bird. Mum was having an agy bout on the shore, shouting my name, I could tell she was getting hysterical. I eventually turned round and swam back to her, had a good shake and laughed at her. She told Ben (my human brother) that she was so worried she nearly had a heart attack, she thought the swan may attack me and I would drown. Must be honest I never thought of that, I was more intent on getting hold of the swan first, but she insists that if it had turned on me I would not have been able to fight because I was in the water.... hmmp she doesnt think much of my talents does she. Then to add insult to injury she told Ben that I would have either drown or have had to go back to the vets for treatment and I had just cost her five hundred quid... anyone would think I wasnt worth it...

Anyway she deserved a shock, but I am going to be good now, I think she has suffered enough...

Goodness you young ones tire me out - I don't bother to wake up nowadays until I know that the food is out and ready for me, and even then I don't always feel like getting up straight away.

I don't really like to walk so much now either, sometimes I have to pretend to limp to get out of it, it is hard to remember which leg it is though, so mummy sometimes laughs at me :(

I can't manage it now with my rheumatism, but when I could jump up on a chair, mummy sometimes forgot and left one near to the side so then I could reach. Perhaps you could learn to push a chair near?

Sometimes the cats take pity on me, and they climb up and knock food down for me. Maybe you could ask your tall friend if he could do that?

It isn't fair being little is it. My friend is ever so tall, he can take all the food off the side if his mummy forgets to lock him out of the kitchen :)

Love

Hope you are all ok and still training your mummies and daddies. Kiri, its lovely to have friends like the cats, I have cat friends too.

My mum decided yesterday that she was going to train me, cheek of it.

We went to graves park and she made me walk through the animals, there were free range chickens, a big pig and sheep, I would have chased them all over if I wasnt on the lead.

She made me sit and look and behave, then to add insult to injury we went and sat by the old boating lake and these cheeky geese came out and spat at me. Mum made me sit and watch them eating and I just gave up and laid down in the end.

I dont know where she has got this daft idea about training me from. And why!! doesnt every dog chase swans and things???? Never mind we had a lovely walk round the park. She is taking me back next week, so I need to put a plan into action, I will have to pretend to be really good I reckon, then she may slip up and let me off the lead again!

Hello to all of my friends and a special hello to Barney cat, how lovely to see one of our pussy cat friends chatting online :D
I never understand dogs that don't like cats, they can be so useful to us in many ways.
Firstly cat poo, it is simply delicious and it smells fantastic, whether in a cat tray or buried in the garden its just lovely (Granny Meg taught me that secret).
Secondly cat helpers, as all of us with cat brothers and sisters know pussy cats make the most fantastic helpers for us dogs, as Kiri mentioned... I too have my little mate Oli well trained, when ever I want anything from off the worktops or the top of the fridge, or even sometimes out of the cupboards Oli will jump up there and knock it down for me and our Peepee, then we get to quickly tear it to pieces or snaffle it up, yum!
Thirdly warm pussy cat snuggles, there is nothing like a soft warm pussy cat cuddling you on a cold day, they are like hot water bottles, not only that they make the most lovely noises too.
Fourthly running, pussy cats are great for chasing, they really are great fun, I chase mine sometimes....and sometimes my little mate Oli chases me too, our Peepee loves chasing and squishing them for the loverly noise that they make, bless her :D
I never can understand the dogs that want to chase and hurt pussy cats though, that is really naughty and bad
Well my mates its been loverly talking again, I am very pleased that most of you are continuing to train your Mummies hard, my Mummy is being fairly good lately, me and our Peepee do quite well with her, and Daddy Dave haha he is so easy to train, a very good human there, we wouldn't sell him for anything, he even gives us his food when Mummy isn't looking.
Well bye for now you lot, keep up the good work!
Your mate Kira xx

Hello mates Kira here :D

I thought that I might quickly type to you while Mummy is in the kitchen, I have had a bit of trouble with her

Mummy thinks that she should be allowed to go out every now and then and just leave us dogs behind, well I can tell you I am not pleased about this, the older ones are not bothered they just go to sleep, but me and our Pee well we get bored....in about 5 minutes :suspect:

Now two weeks ago we girls decided to do something to teach Mummy a lesson, so as soon as she went to Grandma's and left us in the kitchen we started, we had a little play fight then Pee saw the bag sticking out of the drawer and she pulled it... well it was just great loads of bags came out...millions of bags and we pulled them round the kitchen and killed them fast.

We were ever so thirsty after that so we had lots of water to drink, then naughty Pee well she pee'd a lot all in the messy bags, that was so funny, but it was a bit squidgy so we went to play in the porch.

It was great fun, but then I heard me little mate Oli behind the door, well as you know I luvs me little Oli, so I talked to him through the door, I really wanted to go out into the sunny garden and play so did our Pee so we decided to try and open the door, we couldn't so we tried tunnelling under it, well that was fun... all of the stuff called lams or something came up, it looked ever so hard but it was like cardyboard underneath, so me and our Pee we had a right laugh pulling it up, we ate some and we threw loads in the kitchen with the bags and wee, then I'm ashamed to say I had a little accident I think it was cause I ate the lams I poo'd on the bags ... but not to worry all of the lams made good camaflage for it, then me and our Pee was tired and went for a nap in bed as you do.

Anyway the next minute Mummy came home, we were ever so pleased... Mummy wasn't :( she saw the bags and the lams and she went barmy with me and our Pee, and started to pick it all up, then she found the wee and then the poo...with her hands, she didn't laugh.

Later Daddy Dave came up, we heard Mummy snitching on us about what we did earlier  I knew Daddy Dave would stick up for me cause he does luv me more than Mummy I'm sure... Daddy Dave then did a terrible thing, he gave Mummy some paper stuff and told her to buy another CRATE for me and our Pee to go in while Mummy goes out :o

The very next day bad Mummy had one coming for us, she got the paper stuff and just put it by the tellyvisionon while she dusted it then the phone rang and Mummy answered it, I didn't want the crate so I ate the paper stuff while Mummy wasn't looking, oh I was very proud no crate now.

Mummy went crazy and Daddy Dave came rushing to see what went off... he didn't want to kiss me or Pee :( and he ran off to the paper machine and got more... then the big crate came, well me and our Pee do like it actually its ever so comfy with a big duvet in, now when Mummy goes out we go in and get lots of chews toys and bones in it so I suppose it's not to bad.

What do you think mates should me and Pee just give in now and behave or do you think that Mummy should be punished more?

Your pal Kira xx

Keep up the good work Kira, it's reet difficult to get poo out of the bars of a crate when it's mushed under the tray too

I've already told mummy how much it costs for a session at Strix's Bootcamp for two naughty puppies :D

Hello Strix :D

I've not tried poo but I found sick to be quite good for that, and when Mummy moved the crate it all went right through and onto her bedroom carpet too :hihi:

Me and our Peepee don't want to come to your lovely bootcamp though... thank you for asking :suspect:

Hello all, it's Trixie, back again.

Mummy's a little Shamefaced, as she's been telling me off, for tiddling in the Kitchen, and, yesterday she discovered that it wasn't me, it's my big brother Kane. She caught him tiddling, twice.

Mummy's not sure if it's the senility, getting more of a hold of him, whether it's him not being able to hold it, cos he's getting so old, or whether he's thinking "Well if Trix can tiddle so can I!"

mum-note:- we're on stand-by with mop and bucket!

Hi again fellow poo doodlers, Clive here .

Must say as an old timer it's good to see you young pups givin' the humans a bit of what-for. My mum drives me mad with her bossy ways and weak attempts at trying to 'train' me (her word not mine). I mean, let's face it, if you're gonna try and train us at least be persistent. Some days she tells me to get off the setee and sit on the floor and other days she practically begs me to get up (cos SHE wants the cuddles y'see), well, guess what, it doesn't work like that - I get up when I want to get up and for no other reason. I mean, she is lovely and the thing I like best (apart from walks 'n' me dinner) is cuddling right up to her and smelling her but I have to let her know who is in charge. Believe me it's a constant battle. She won't let me lick her. Says I do disgusting things with my tongue. Jealous that I can, probably.

She is a bit of a moody human apparently (one of her friends described her the other day as 'stroppy') and I think she has a lot on her mind right now but let's face it don't we all. I worry constantly when my next walk is coming and if there's an intruder on the premises and if I'll get a bit of milk when she has her cereals and what's that they're all eating and will they drop some or better still throw some for me but do I have moods? NO.

Life's a bit strange at the moment as we seem to live in two houses so I'm not sure which one I should be guarding so I guard 'em both! They both have really low windows which makes my sentry duty so much easier - I bark at everyone who walks past on the street - makes the kids jump I can tell ya! Mum shouts at me but I'm only telling 'em to get lost cos that's MY pavement and they shouldnt be on it. One of the houses is near something called a beach - and going there is soooo much fun. Mum won't let me off the lead so I have to have an 'extendable' one but I do my best to get as far as I can before it stops me. I've even been in the sea! I liked it but the waves made me jump when they caught me unawares on the derriere! Boy was that cold around my Bakers Incomplete! She has a bike at the house near the beach too and is always saying to people she is going to go on it with me on the lead at the side. She says she is hoping I'll behave and trot alongside whilst she cycles. How naive is that? I mean, all I have to do is dart to the side when I see something interesting and whoopsy off she comes. I wouldn't do it on purpose of course as I'd never want to hurt her but I forget sometimes when something interesting or furry or smelly comes within striking distance. Will keep you all posted on that one!

Right, off down the garden to do a bit of ferreting and there's a delivery at the pub nearby so they need a good old bark to tell them to get lost with their noisy metal barrels. And where did I put that fusty old chewy shoe that I hid last week?? Bet that's matured nicely by now...

yes, it was a lovely day, thanks, Kira.

Mummy gave me lots of fuss, and treats, and chewies. (mummy's had to put the new bed on order from the pet shop:- there must have been a rash of puppies chewing, like me, as they didn't have any of my size left!)
