Hi,

I'm posting to see if anybody can recommend any music shops in or around sheffield, that stock a good selection of bass guitar strings.

In particular Ernie Ball Slinky's 5 string sets and D'Adarrio nickel wounds. .045 -.130 long scale

I have tried Soundcontrol and Wavelength guitars on London Road, and can't find what I am looking for... and I would rather buy from a shop than order on-line if I can help it.

You could try the "Music box " on the lanes at Meadowhell but I doubt they would have as good a stock as Sound control.

Not really Sheffield, but have you tried Electro(music) in Doncaster?
They are streets ahead of most local retailers as regards music related stock...

reflex in town, used to just be a dj equipment shop, but they have started selling some other things now, like instruments. they may stock em.

Not something I know much about but The Sheffield Music shop on Whitham Road, Broomhill, are always helpful, even if they haven't what you want in stock. 2661000.

There's also Millington's in town, which has a pretty decent selection!
